  1. Lisa, Sounds like you're having a nice vacation! Yes, the NYC traffic is daunting if you're not used to it. Have a safe trip home!
  2. Come on Victor--snap out of it! You're our bud--you know that
  3. Look at it this way--tomorrow at this time, it'll be all fixed! We've all done something like that at least once. A couple years ago, I tried to lighten mine myself with the then-new L'Oreal "For Brunettes Only". It was supposed to safely lighten brown hair in one step--only not! I had a orange-ish, dull brown! At least these things can be fixed!...
  4. My husband and I saw George Carlin back in the late 70's. I really like his stuff
  5. Kim, I used to have to lay down after eating all the time, too. Especially dinner--I'd feel nauseous and have a pressure-like pain. Laying down, even for a few minutes would really help. It never happens anymore!
  6. Susan--I have dark brown hair, and used to have it highlighted. The stylist used to have to bleach the hair to be highlighted until it was the color of spaghetti--it took a little longer than she always thought and she had to keep checking it until it was right. You have to be so careful not to turn orange
  7. SofiEmiMom--I merged your topic into the original one so it would be easier for everyone to find. Thanks
  8. I've had it on in the backgound Rachel said that they've gotten tons of letters, emails and phone calls about cooking for people with food allergies. They had a cute little 6 year old boy on named Matthew--who is allergic to soy, dairy and peanuts. Rachel talked to him and his mom about going out to eat (they were a lot like us--she asked for...
  9. Probably gave a lot of kids bad dreams! I never saw it before--they must have pulled it fast.
  10. In a nutshell--kids are eating lunch and don't want to drink their milk. The mom says--it's good for you, it'll make your bones strong--look at Mr. Such and Such next door. They look out the window, and the guy goes to lift his wheelbarrow (which is filled with dirt) and his arms just break off. He then deadpans--'this can't be good" The kids immediately...
  11. The guy's arms breaking off--freaky! "Carla'd it"--
  12. I really like the chocolate Cliff Nectar Bars--they taste like a chewy brownie I can only have one once in a while, though cause they have grain.
  13. Funny video! I was thinking, if that donut at the end was gluten-free, Carla could have eaten 1/4 of it
  14. Hi Sparkles, Our resident expert on Vegas is Broncobux. If he dosen't see this, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you PM him for restaurant suggestions.
  15. I know Lynne--he touched a nerve with me, too. I almost never post in anger to anyone, but when he said that food intolerance didn't exist, I saw red! I actually had tears in my eyes by the time I finished posting!
  16. Susan and Ursula, I also loved Sabrina (the H. Ford one) Charming!
  17. Hi Lynne, I was also wondering why you had not been posting as much--I'm glad that you opened up to Karen and Armetta. Somehow, it seems a little easier to bear when we can talk about what's on our mind. I don't think you're crazy at all for wanting to know, yet are afraid to find out. I think you're very human, and have been through quite enough...
  18. Deb, How ironic! By the way, I met my husband that same summer
  19. Crystal clear And I knew THAT--(believe me ) I thought maybe you had something else up your sleeve! And for the record, I agree with you 100%--and I've been married to the same man for 31 years I know I don't look old enough, but.....
  20. Thanks Laura, I'll have to remember to check it out
  21. Celia, I found this, don't know if it'll be any help-- Open Original Shared Link
  22. Heartburn! I'll add that I never had reflux until I went gluten-free. It got so bad that I had to go on Prevacid and my allergist said that it was causing my bronchial spasms. It's all connected.
  23. I don't know anything about those. Sorry... Are you still having the pain from before? I feel the same way about meds, but sometimes they're necessary. I got an eye infection last week cleaning out my window boxes--dirt flew into my eyes. I've been taking antibiotic eye drops--was nervous about it, but also needed them! Are these patches sold...
