  1. While you're standing in the store, hold the coconut up to your ear and shake. Make sure you hear the liquid inside. See if it feels heavy for it's size and check the eyes to be sure they're hard. You should have to work to make a hole.
  2. I get D--with nausea. Quite seriously, I don't believe I've ever had C.
  3. Rachel-- I don't see how it could be a problem if you just tell us about it. Oh gosh--I remember the Triumph guy...
  4. I know How do you feel after eating it and having the coffee?
  5. If I remember right, I *think* that if you shake it, a good one will sound like it has a lot of liquid sloshing around inside and be heavy for it's size.. I think
  6. I sure can! Why do you think I almost never start one? I post all the time--on other people's threads!
  7. I noticed that, but I didn't want to say anything Love ya
  8. I'd be nervous, too But don't be! This will be fun. Now, about peeling off my old skin in order to be mistaken for 35.....(I added 5 years to Susan because I'm older to begin with--I can live with 35!) I need to do something--I've really been considering hyroquinone (I think that's how you spell it ) to fade the spots from the sun. Has anyone...
  9. Um.. just turned 50..can I come in? Lord knows I could use some help
  10. I was just going to ask the same thing!
  11. Now, I know you meant "stuck"...
  12. Yea--as I remember it, you were the one who posted your Vance's ice cream recipe!! Then, of course, insured that I'd be set for months with it
  13. Well then, you better get cracking! If we don't see you, we'll know you're busy and out of trouble--don't work too hard
  14. Barq's Root Beer is gluten-free. (It's a Coca Cola Company) There could be something in there, a flavoring or something that didn't agree with you. Possibly something you ate earlier in the day? Anyway, I hope your stomach feels better soon! I know what you mean about the Immodium! I only use it in an emergency, but those times it saves my life...
  15. Hey guys! I'm here, too. Those marshmallows sound good--I used to love S-mores Carla--how sad is that--you have to ration out your donuts! Richard--When I was a kid, I belonged to a folk-singing group locally. We'd sing at retirement homes, pancake breakfasts, churches (folk masses!) and things like that. Kumbayah was a song that we performed...
  16. I contacted Immuno Labs--they had a nurse call me and ask if I would like more info sent to me in the mail. They sent a nice packet explaining how and what they do. (They test for food intolerance)
  17. After explaining my heart out to a restaurant manager (who seemed to be following what I was saying), he looked at me and said "sugar?" Guess he thought I was talking about glucose To be fair, he must have gotten it the second time, because everything turned out fine
  18. I've been thinking about it. I am allergic to several medications--that could possibly come into play if I were in an emergency room and unable to talk. If I do, I will definately include Celiac on it.
  19. Good luck with the yard work--I hope the weather holds for you. Our weather is nuts, and they never seem to predict it right. Like yesterday when I was just getting into the painting, and felt rain! I'm using black paint, too--and where the water drops hit, the original color bled thru So as soon as it dries back out, I have to do those over. I...
  20. I know about Rache--I left you a message over there. Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Will you be able to go swimming this week? That may help...maybe? They left yesterday morning. I'm fine--started to paint the chairs (the sun was out) and 40 minutes later, it started to rain!
  21. Yep, Paulina, you summed it up nicely!
  22. Wanted to say Good Morning to everybody I missed so much last night--don't know where to begin Andrea--I missed your avatar (I think!) what was it? Rachel--you know that I hope that you get to the bottom of everything. I've been following everything, and while I get overwhelmed with all of the info sometimes, I marvel at your tenacity...
  23. Hi Lisa, I hope that today you can find comfort in the wonderful memories of your uncle.
  24. Probably so, but I have so many intolerances that sometimes I think that *nothing* tastes like it used to! I've settled for and actually do enjoy things that I didn't previously eat, and try to make the best of it--but there's also a time for "comfort foods".
  25. Just throwing out another idea--could you be intolerant to legumes? I get intestinal symptoms from peanuts as well as soy, peas, and beans of all types. I love peanut butter, and tried to find a brand that agreed with me. When I began to test myself with the other legumes and peanuts, I realized I was intolerant.
