  1. My allergies really went to an all time high in the 2 years before I was diagnosed. I had always had spring pollen allergies, and a cat allergy but everything became very severe. I also developed eczema and intense itching where there was no rash or anything. Now, 16 months post dx, the eczema is gone as is the itchiness. I had skin scratch tests a...
  2. Oh no! Poor Felix That sounds terrible. At least after the operation, and he heals up, he shouldn't be in pain anymore. The poor little thing. So, he'll be able to eat--that's interseting (and good). That's the sad thing about a pet--they can't tell us when somethings wrong, so a lot of times when we notice something it's already progressed...
  3. They bother my stomach, for some reason, but I loved the Banana Cookie and the Pecan Pie flavors. The Ginger one is very good, also.
  4. Yea--all the little hairs that are hanging on by a thread--gone!
  5. The Ronco Spray on Hair!!!!I forgot all about that. Hey, remember the Flow-be? You could give yourself that flat top haircut, and all the excess hair would be sucked up into your vaccum cleaner. All in one easy step!
  6. Yep Andrea--you saw right! But I sent him back to his own thread. I think we can speak freely now
  7. How did I miss this--Megan is tasting food!! Such great news. That seems like a giant step in the right direction. Hope you're all feeling better from the colds!
  8. Richard-- Back to the Funny Bone--immediately!
  9. Can't wait!! I'll be in my jammies with a cup of tea BTW, Richard, your daughters are absolutely adorable!
  10. Hi Jeepster, You sound just like me as a child. I never wanted to eat breakfast because I was afraid I'd throw up at school. I would feel better as the day went on, and be able to eat from afternoon on. This pattern continued for a long time--when I got older and went to work, I felt the same way. I actually thought this was normal for me, and everyone...
  11. Thanks Julie--I think you stated it very well. I'm one of those who has learned a lot on this thread--and figured things out along the way. If we also found friends through all of this, all the better. We're human! I just don't understand why help and support has to be serious all the time--being sick with no explanation for years on end was serious...
  12. Good lord--those combover pictures I'm sorry, but those make a guy look sleezy to me. Hair is nice, but if a guy is losing his hair, cut it short and go with it! I'd rather someone look natural and clean.
  13. Remember this one-- Comet--it makes your teeth turn green. Comet--it tastes like gas-o-line. Comet-it makes you vomit-- So get some Comet-and vomit today.
  14. Ba Dum Ba! He'll be here all week, folks!
  15. I like to bowl..Also like to watch baseball--Atlants Braves
  16. And from Archie Bunker-- "You can't buy beer, you can only rent it."
  17. You got that right! He's really got the life--eats, sleeps, spends hours grooming and has me to clean up his litter box
  18. Ditto
  19. And I'm certainly not getting ON the plane, I'm getting IN it!
  20. Thanks Nikki! You know, I really think the gluten-free cat food is making a difference with him. His coat, which has always been beautiful, is even softer and isn't matting at all on his back. He's throwing up less, too Guess gluten wasn't so good for him, either. I just wish I'd changed him over a year ago! How are your kitties doing?
  21. Deb--I wanted to offer support--and say that the PSA is vital. My husband has been getting one yearly, along with a prostate exam for a while now--they draw blood anyway during his physical every year. Glad you're getting him into a urologist. My dad had prostate cancer about 11 years ago. He had the prostate removed, and although the operation and...
  22. Hi Dawnmarie, A couple of suggestions that are available at the drugstore-- Centrum Advanced Vitamins are gluten-free. Dove will clearly label any gluten on the bottle. A lot of Neutrogena products are gluten-free--they're also clearly marked.
  23. Yea--you think we all talk a lot here! Be glad we're not hanging out at your house
  24. Hi Celia--how are you feeling today? Better? Anyone watching Dancing With the Stars tonight? I'm absolutely hooked
