  1. This is the one I use--I buy it locally, though Open Original Shared Link .com/Rock-Thai-Crystal-De...e/dp/B000AN1JEI I've been using the same one for about 6 months, and it's still smooth. In fact, it dosen't even look much smaller. Is yours getting old? I'm not sure what could be causing the breakage. Some that I've seen are smaller and...
  2. Hi Liz--glad you jumped in! Yep, 1981 was a good year for a lot of us! I can't believe how fast the time has gone--my "baby" is a grown man with a home of his own.
  3. I keep it in the pantry--there's a note on the container, I believe, that says that it performs best at room temperature. And it does! This is the Organic Shortening that comes in the white plastic tub.
  4. Hi Linds--welcome I use McCormick spices. I have spoken to them by phone, and they will clearly list any gluten on the label, so all you need to do is read. Their Pure Vanilla Extract is also safe for us. If there's anything else we can answer for you, don't hesitate to ask!
  5. I actually had my first child in 1981!
  6. Yes, Leaky Gut would cause all of these problems--and more. I truly believe that it is behind my food intolerances. I can not tolerate proteins from plant sources at all. Only meats. The lectins--plants that have both protein and carbohydrates are the very ones that give me problems. The link that Carla gave is great--I would suggest printing it...
  7. You, Carla and me--3 great minds all using the same deodorant
  8. No problem! It's really good stuff. Let me know how it works out for you
  9. I cracked up when I read this--judy, you're too much PS--Judging from your picture, you're doing something right
  10. Carla, If you decide that you want to use a deodorant, I recommend a crystal deoodorant like Thai (the one I use). It's nothing but mineral salt--and works great. It also lasts forever! I even got my husband to use it--and he likes it, too.
  11. A few months ago when I was still eating peanut butter , I discovered this product. It is so good! Anyway, I called, and it's fine Enjoy--and enjoy some for me, too
  12. I have bought it at Whole Foods, and at Wegman's (a large grocery store) in the Natural Marketplace section--baking isle. Glad to hear you're doing better!
  13. Funny--mine are the same way! My fingernails are about the only part of me that work correctly
  14. Scott, Thank you
  15. Hi Becky, I've not been able to find a margarine that is without all of those things, if it dosen't have soy, it has corn, which I need to stay away from. For baking, I use Spectrum Organic Shortening. It works as well as Crisco, but it's non-hydrogenated palm oil--much better for you.
  16. Interesting about the nail polish--I only wear it on my toes, too. Right now, it's clear, but I like to try out different colors. I usually don't wear it on my fingernails--maybe for very special occasions, but normally I don't. I keep them filed and buffed, though. I think they look healthy.
  17. I've tried it, and it isn't bad at all! It has a smoother taste than peanut butter--not as good as the real thing, though.
  18. Mike, How can you say that with very few exceptions, food intolerance does not exist? As someone who is intolerant to several foods, I have to disagree. I went on an elimination diet, suggested by my board-certified Allergist-Immunologist who told me that this was the best way to figure out food intolerance. He told me that he, himself, had intolerances...
  19. I haven't, but I was thinking about her this morning. So, she didn't PM you or anything? She's probably trying to come to grips with the whole thing.
  20. I thought that was Andrea's daughter behind the horse! You're sweet to say so, but really--I'd like to know Celia's secret! Come on Celia, spill it
  21. Gee, I thought it was just me--sometimes I use so much paper, I have to flush twice
  22. Ive never looked that good!
  23. That sounds really good! We used to roast the marshmallow on a stick over the fire, then squish it between 2 graham crackers lined with Hershey bars. Mmmm S'mores
