  1. OMG --that was the wierdest thing I've ever seen. How did you come across that? Good night, Carla--get some rest
  2. Hi Carla--That's great that you're making progress! I remember you were feeling badly for quite a while there. Celia, what link do you mean? I have been reading the late-night posts of you and Robbin--you two are so funny!
  3. I don't know what did it--and I hate that Sorry you feel blah too Have to say spooky though--laundry, feeling blah....
  4. That's funny--I like doing it, too! Gives me a feeling of satisfaction I'm just tired today, and something got to me last weekend, and I haven't felt well ever since. I've actually been taking Immodium when I have to go out OK, end of whine Geesh, I sound like a real downer!
  5. Hi Celia--how are you? I'm kind of tired and will probably go to bed soon--it's just too early, so I came on here for a few minutes. Got the new washer and dryer delivered today, did numerous loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, did a few other errends. I'm beat--dosen't help that it was very warm and humid today--can't wait till it cools off for...
  6. I don't either--which is surprising considering how many magazines I've got here! Hope someone can help
  7. This is a good idea--I was kind of wondering the same thing--but I didn't know which agency would best handle something like this.
  8. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, elonwy. Glad you decided on the gluten-free "junk food"!
  9. Hope he sleeps well tonight
  10. Chelsea, I'm sorry to hear this. But, you feel what you feel... I wish you luck with everything, and hope that you drop back by sometime. It was nice to meet you and compare notes on the 'Cuse!
  11. Lister, I really am so sorry that all of this is coming down on you right now. You've had a lot to deal with the past several months, that's for sure. Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your friend. It's hard to lose someone you care about, especially when you can't even come to terms with how or why they died. Maybe right now...
  12. Good God, no! It's been 14 months for me, and I'm just now beginning to make some progress with my Celiac, not to mention the other intolerances it caused. As good as that stuff tasted, I just won't jepordize the progress I have made, and risk having to do any of it over again.
  13. QVC also has them--qvc.com
  14. Marcia--I actually got tingly reading your post!! This is the greatest news--I have a feeling that it will not be temporary, and that this is just the beginning for you
  15. Jenny O is a Hormel company. They will list any gluten on the label. I did a search for you, and found Hormel's Gluten Free list. It's in post # 2-- Open Original Shared Link
  16. Ghee! Interesting about the coconut oils. I'm not allergic (that I know of), just intolerant. I know that there is coconut in most natural soaps and shampoos, and those don't cause me any obvious problems. I am also soy intolerant, and soy oil bothers me, but a small amount of soy lecithin does not
  17. I haven't tried ghee, but I'd like to. Do you make your own, or is there a good brand I should look for? I can't, unfortunately, use coconut oil because I'm intolerant to coconut.
  18. Hi Armetta I've not actually seen the Smart Squeeze--so I don't know if it has corn in it. That's something I'd want to check when I can read the label. I've never seen the Spectrum Margarine--dosen't sound too good, though, from what you said--I do love their shortening! Why is it so hard to find a margarine without soy, corn and whey?
  19. Thanks! I went to their website and sent an email to customer service--they didn't have a store locater. There's also a phone # I can call on Monday
  20. They all cause various degrees of GI problems--the worst being soy (cramping, gas) and tapioca (D, nausea, stomach pain). I suspect the legumes may have been the cause of my long standing eczema because after I cut those out, it went away, and has not returned. The intolerances tend to only cause physical symptoms for me--gluten, on the other hand,...
  21. Today I was eating my (bunless) hamburger for lunch, and instead of looking up at me with his "where's my piece?", he proceeded to his own dish and ate some of his new food. Unbelieveable Nikki--I can't believe you remembered his name--that blew me away And I agree about the better foods having less of the fillers, like ash. All that does is make...
  22. burdee-- Where do you find that Smart Squeeze Margarine? I have looked everywhere.
  23. I know what you mean--you hate to use it and get it dirty! We actually bought a separate washing machine and dryer. The set I have now is only 6 years old, but the washer quit spinning the other day, and the repairman told me that the transmission was shot (!) and it would be at least $300 to repair it. My husband said for that much, we may as...
  24. Unfortunately, I have many intolerances! They would include:dairy, soy, legumes, coconut, and tapioca. I figured them out, with the help of my allergist, who suggested an elimination diet.
  25. I agree, Marcia. I have a lot of additional intolerances, and for several months I ate only whole, natural foods--almost nothing processed. I continued this way until I felt better, more or less consistantly. (Except for obvious things like CC) I find that now, I can eat a serving or less of a couple of things that I just couldn't tolerate before...
