  1. Tiffany--That sounds heavenly! Great to hear you had such a wonderful time--and eating was not only easy, but delicious! Good to have you back Look forward to hearing more after you've gotten some rest.
  2. Wow Lister--what a difference a day makes!! So glad to hear you're feeling better. Keep up the regular, real food meals. Way to go
  3. So Cuisanart worked out better? I'll have to go to Kohl's and take a look--there's one right up the road from Wal Mart. Gotta make me some ice cream How you feeling now Vincent?
  4. Culturelle is gluten-free, but is not lactose free.
  5. I'm intolerant to legumes--and for the longest time did not know that green beans WERE legumes! I used to eat them all the time--not anymore
  6. I was thinking the same thing!
  7. I am such an idiot--I was in Wal Mart this morning, and meant to look at ice cream makers--I'm dying to try the Vance's recipe! Well, I forgot--I remembered only what was on my list--I guess I now have to write everything down
  8. A little good news for you here--according to the CSA Gluten Free Product Guide, Ajax dish liquids--all variants--are gluten-free! Now you can make yourself a good meal! Cause you're not getting enough protein
  9. Here you go, Mamaw-- Open Original Shared Link
  10. Lister--I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but bananas are constipating for a lot of people. That's why when kids (or anyone) gets D, they're told to eat bananas. How about an apple or some other fruit that you like?
  11. Hi Dani--I have found the same thing with peanut butter! And I love it Since I started back on the meat/fruit/veggie, I have no more gas, bloating, D, cramps or anything. This time, though, I'm not adding ANYTHING else in--I'm going to do this for at least 6 months before even considering anything else. (It does help me greatly that I can tolerate dark...
  12. It's going to be ok I just sent you a PM. I think your idea of going gluten and dairy free first is a good idea. Then, you can ascess whether or not you have any additional intolerances.
  13. Tiff--This is GREAT news!!! I was actually thinking about you the other day--that you and your husband must be enjoying your time together. I think the pre-natal vitamin you are taking is fine. 400 mg is the recommended amount. Other than the vitamin, just try and stay as healthy as you can, eat well (lots of fresh fruits and veggies), pure water, a little...
  14. Thanks!--We're going to get you through this . Moving away from the food for a moment , I want you to know that I suffered from depression and anxiety before I was diagnosed. It took me a good 4 months on the gluten-free diet before this began to lift. That's why I say - hang in there. It is a process, and it does take time. I'm glad to hear that you...
  15. Wow--that's interesting. I used to get a burning feeling in my mouth--like the whole inside of my mouth was on fire. That has not happened once since I went gluten-free. I do believe it is connected.
  16. Yea--I can understand your wanting to spend time on here right now. When you feel so sick, it tends to take up all of your thoughts, and it helps to be able to relate to others in the same position. One thing I figured out along the way is that sometimes we become sensitive to other foods when we cut out gluten. Take a good look at what you eat every day...
  17. Lister--Please, just slow down and take a deep breath. It's going to be alright--really, it is. This is such a rollercoaster ride at the beginning. I know how frusterating and depressing it is to be dong everything right and still feel sick. I'm almost at the year mark, and am still trying to figure out exactly what I can and can't eat. It sounds like...
  18. You probably caught the bug from Tymber. Hope you feel better soon!
  19. Can you get Gluten Free Pantry in your area? They have a Cake and Cookie Mix that is really good. I have had good results with just greasing the pan--with no flour--and it came out fine. They also make a chocolate cake mix.
  20. I don't know what your doctor meant by the phrase--not turned on--maybe she was looking for weight loss and chronic D. As far as your symptoms, a lot of them do look typical to me--I had the bruising, sinus, dizziness, anxiety, trouble concentrating, depression, and of course the bathroom issues. I think you're doing the right thing by going...
  21. This sounds like trapped gas to me. I got this a lot when I was first gluten-free and have had it since when eating something else that I am intolerant to.
  22. Hi--Here is some spaghetti squash info-- Open Original Shared Link
  23. Just hit "refresh"--your new picture is there!
  24. C--That is priceless! I'd love to see that video. And--yep, that means you are next!
