  1. Thanks, Nicole
  2. I've wondered about that, myself. We run the gamut here--people who had no symptoms whatsoever (tested because of a first degree relative) to people with many debilitating symptoms dating back years. Nothing I have read (and I'm as far from an expert as you can get) has ever indicated that there are degrees of Celiac. So, why the differences? There are...
  3. Aw--thanks! Email sent!

All I could think of was the old HBO show where Dennis Miller would show pictures like that with really funny captions. Guess you had to be there
  5. To my knowledge, we can't change the topic title. Why don't you email Scott and see if he will do it. Or, if you want, I can email him.
  6. The ham, itself is gluten-free--but the glaze is NOT.
  7. I think you're really going to like the Vance's. I can't tolerate any of the alternative milks--except that one.
  8. Coulda been worse--at least you didn't eat any!
  9. I've been a victim of the "same facility" thing too many times. With very few exceptions, when I see that, I put it right back on the shelf!

  11. I really understand your frustration--I am intolerant to so many things now, it's not funny. I know you don't want to hear this, but I finally figured it out by listening to my body--if I react to something twice or so, I cut it out. In time, I will probably try again--one thing at a time. For now, I'm trying to just feel good on a daily basis, and hopefully...
  12. Guhlia--Count me in, too. I'm not as computer savvy as you, but anything I can do, I'll be happy to. Go ahead and start a thread--we'll make sure it gets pinned in 'coping with'. Although, 'Gab/Chat" gets a lot of notice, too. Which ever you choose, we'll go with!
  13. Get a good night's rest, Rose, and try not to think about it. Really--go and put your feet up!

B--I'm dying here--that was so funny PS--I'm Catholic, too.
  15. Back in my old gluten days in Atlanta, we used to love The Old Spaghetti Factory. At one point, we were going there weekly!
  16. Taking diuretics (water pills) can cause a low potassium level. Some blood pressure meds have these.
  17. Hi Laurie--I know nothing about these products, but if I saw wording like that in the ingredients, I would run the other way. I don't mean to be harsh or blunt, but that's my take on it.
  18. The vinegars you need to stay away from are malt vinegars and one out there named apple cider FLAVORED vinegar. Heinz Ketchup is safe (the Heinz Organic Ketchup is not, though). French's Mustard is safe, also. I use both of those, as well as Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar. I use Kraft BBQ Sauce. With Kraft, all you need to do is read the labels--they will...
  19. Oh no!--No wonder you're stressed out. I know when I'm under a lot of stress, it affects me physically as well. Laura--hope the baby feels better soon
  20. All Pepsi products are gluten-free according to the CSA gluten-free Product Guide.
  21. I do the same thing because I not only have to avoid gluten, but soy, also. I don't think I've ever seen a frozen dinner that is gluten-free and soy free. I do miss the convenience and variety, though
  22. This wouldn't have the same "kick", but you could use gluten-free broth and step up the spices a little bit. Wine is a good idea, too--or a mixture of both.
  23. Hi--I like California Baby No Fragrance Sunscreen (SPF 30). Wegman's (if you have one nearby) carries their products. Also--www.californiababy.com -- Phone#--877-576-2825.
  24. Thanks for the best laugh I've had all day!
  25. Hi Carol--So sorry you had to go through that. As you know, anemia is a very common symptom of Celiac. Since you have your positive diagnosis, why wait for the doctor to tell you to begin the gluten-free diet? I would suggest just concentrating on going 100% gluten-free right now--today. Start with your food, and then check on your personal care products...
