  1. The strongest intolerance I have seems to be eggs. 4 hours after eating them, I get horrible nausea that lasts for several more hours. I have other intolerances, those also come on after a few hours, but are not as strong.
  2. I just get them all ready to go and my husband seals them! If he's not around, I use a wet paper towel--use it, and throw it away
  3. Hey Vincent--how's your stomach? Anything yet?
  4. Nestle will clearly list any gluten on the label. They will also note when there is a CC risk. I have spoken to them on the phone about this.
  5. You never know what kind of twists and turns a thread will end up making
  6. Hi Tim--I believe that if you were diagnosed positive for Celiac, via the biopsy, then there is no question about it--you have Celiac. Celiac has a great number of symptoms (around 200) and everyone experiences them differently. I have been gluten-free since last June. In December, I started getting reflux--for the first time, ever. To make a long story...
  7. Hi Steve--I just wanted to welcome you in! You have come to the right place! Feel free to ask any questions that might come up along the way--and that goes for your mom, too If you need any help going gluten-free, just let us know.
  8. Carrie--check this out, there seems to be some info here Open Original Shared Link
  9. Hi Lynne--I am truly sorry that things did not work out the way you'd hoped. I will say a little prayer that you will have the strength to come to grips with and begin to move forward despite this news. I have a strong feeling, though, that you will do just that
  10. Betty--This is not a natural remedy, but when I get the occasional yeast infection, I immediately start the Monistat 3 day cream. I get the pre-filled kind. It always has worked for me. Sorry to hear you have one--they are no fun
  11. Triscuit ingredients=whole wheat, soybean oil, salt, monodiglycerides. I have a box of them in the house my son like them. Don't look at me like that, they're in the 'gluten' cabinet
  12. I will suggest the food that will be guaranteed to send you straight to the bathroom, if gluten is your issue--TRISCUITS! The last time I ate one (6 months pre dx) I got sick almost immediately, whereas if I get CC now, it's 2 hours.
  13. Shirley--That is classic! (but true)
  14. Ditto--exactly!

    ARCHIVED Yoga

Tiffany--Thank you so much for the info and explanation about finding a good teacher, and the importance of learning through actual classes. It was a big help to me
  16. Hi Tiffany--QVC has them too, in a set: Open Original Shared Link Just click on the item #--I couldn't get the exact page link to work.
  17. Ursula--My Kineisiolgist told me that the skin absorbes many things--some in as little as 8 seconds. I am always aware of that--I have read over and over the experts who claim that this is not possible. I tend to keep an open mind on these things, and try to be as careful as I can with it. I was lucky with my allergy tests, no complications.
  18. Amanda--I use Carlson. The lemon flavor. It tastes fine--not fishy or greasy at all, really. It has just a light lemon flavor. It's best to keep it in the fridge--and it tastes better cold. Let me know if you deceide to try it, and how you like it
  19. Betty--Thanks lady, you, too

    ARCHIVED Yoga

I adore Pilates--have my own machine! I would very much like to try Yoga. My husband bought me a book--kind of an "introduction" to it. I am thinking of going to a class. There are poses that make you weep? There must be a strong body/mind connection there--more than I thought. I think I will try it.
  21. Betty--does this mean you're feeling better? Hope so!
  22. Thanks Kandee! I haven't tried the ice cream either, but I plan to. Also the whipped cream. Vance's is good stuff--enjoy
  23. katshow--I recently had a slew of skin tests for allergies. They did foods and everything else. The doctor did it over 2 visits, one month apart because he was afraid of a reaction. He said it was possible to have a generalized reaction, not just a skin reaction from the skin scratch tests--but it was not likely--he was being safe. You may have had a...
  24. Ha--a Celiac will know that word a mile away!! And I'd be the first in line
  25. Me too--it would make things so much easier
