  1. I have an egg intolerance. I get terrible nausea 4 hours after eating them. It lasts several hours--ugh!
  2. B--This is not fair Good that you're going to get the gallbladder taken care of once and for all. Hopefully, you'll feel better--no more nausea. As far as the hormone level--could be a temporary thing, I will say a prayer for you. Keep your chin up--the Lord really does work in mysterious ways!
  3. I've been taking Centrum, but have recently found out they contain dairy. I have trouble with a lot of vitamins, probiotics and enzymes. My system is so darn sensitive. I may give these a try. Will check them out the next time I'm at WF. Thanks for posting about them!
  4. Ah-h-h--simple, but very effective
  5. Lauren--Thanks for posting that! My son's girlfriend graduated from Drexel last year...
  6. The Dove Dark Chocolate Eggs are gluten-free for sure--I've already eaten 2 bags of them this month
  7. Hi Bev, and welcome into the board! Your symptoms sound very familiar, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if your tests come back positive. The best test is how you feel after going gluten-free. I'm glad to hear that you're feeling so much better. Continue to come and chat, and ask any questions that may come up along the way. Glad you found us
  8. I'm going to have to make this--it sounds so good! And I know my husband will like it, too
  9. Back in Jan. when she made that statement, it was still in her signature--I remember, because I went to the link and read it Personally, if I could tolerate soy, I would include some in my diet. As it is, I can use soy lechitan in dark chocolate and the soy oil in Smart Balance. I just can't use soy protein, milk or flour--I get GI problems from those...
  10. That does sound comforting
  11. You're right--everyone is different. Some people get symptoms right away--others get them a day or more later. I get symptoms after about 2 hours. I begin to get cramping, gas, and then D. It will go on for 5 days to a week--with nausea, stomach pain, feeling depressed and anxious, foggy thinking, fatigue, etc. At the beginning, my symptoms lasted longer...
  12. I use McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract--that's gluten-free for sure. What kind did you get?
  13. Hi again! I moved this to 'Coping With'--hope this is where you wanted it. Anyway, it sounds like you may have caught a virus. I always get stomach rumbling, cramping and D about 2 hours after I've gotten some gluten. That's how I know that it's gluten and not something else. Everyone is different, but I think most people have some sort of sign that...

    ARCHIVED Duh!

Amybeth--Don't worry! The moderators read every post and determine whether it's in the correct forum, or if it should be moved before we pin it.
  15. I have seen Enjoy Life foods at Whole Foods and Wild Oats here.
  16. My favorite comfort drink is similar to Carrie's--sugar, pure cocoa and Vance's Dari Free mixed in a mug and microwaved for 2 minutes. Creamy and very soothing.
  17. I personally don't melt butter or chocolate in the microwave. They lose flavor that way. Better to just melt it over boiling water--worth it in the finished product.
  18. Yep--Makes me mad, too! Cool Whip is the same thing. I use Vance's Dairi Free dry, as a creamer in my tea. It tastes great.
  19. Hi Kimberly--I just spoke with Jean--a pharmacist at Pfizer. She told me that Zithromax Z-Pack and Oral Suspension had between 0.01-0.05% of gluten from sources other than wheat, oat, barley or rye. She would not specify where it did come from, just where it didn't. Their customer service # is 1-800-438-1985.
  20. Boy Tiffany--that's great! I would love to find a doctor like that. So happy for you
  21. Susie--Your son sounds adorable--give him a hug for me
  22. Hi Laura--Celiac can definately affect your mood. Many Celiacs suffer from things like anxiety, depression and moodiness. I had anxiety and depression that still come back if I get some gluten by CC. I tend to be a sensitive person, easily hurt. I have been gluten-free for 10+ months now, and I am seeing a difference--not a dramatic one, but moving in...
  23. Yep--I can spike a fever for no apparent reason. I feel a little flu-like, and my face gets very hot. When I get these, they only last a day or even less. I used to have them more often before I was diagnosed. It still happens, but not nearly as often.
