  1. I think you are doing the right thing--absolutely. I'm not at all against retesting--it can be very helpful especially if someone is still having problems after going gluten-free. It doesn't make sense that he would doubt Celiac after your initial testing, but I've read here about that happening quite a few times and I just don't understand it.
  2. I've had good luck with Kirkman Labs-- Open Original Shared Link
  3. I've found it's an individual thing. I have reacted every time to products made on shared equipment. Sometimes not right away, but after eating it several times in a row. I do use a few mainstream products by companies I trust to be good about labeling, but I mostly stick to naturally gluten-free foods and cook from scratch--cheating a little by using...
  4. It's Celiac, in my opinion. You had a positive blood test and biopsy. I don't quite understand doctors who do (re) testing after the patient has been on the gluten-free diet and then deem them not Celiac when the results are negative. I had retesting done after 3 years gluten-free (blood and biopsy) which both came back negative, as we expected. It...
  5. It looks to me as though these were negative--going by the (-) after each. It's my opinion, from what my GI told me after running the gene testing, that a lot of doctors think that without the DQ2 or DQ8, the chances of a person having Celiac are almost nil. I am positive for DQ2, but she told me that they rule Celiac out in the absence of those two...
  6. I'm using a notebook and haven't had a problem....
  7. Glad you liked it When I do it with leftover chicken or pork, sometimes I'll leave off the cheese and throw in a chopped apple along with the potatoes. Gives it a nice flavor.
  8. Yeaterday....being a Sunday and we were out and about-- B--Fage 0% with a sliced banana L--Starbucks Awake Tea Latte and a Ginger Snap Lara Bar D--Sirloin tips with onions, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts S--while watching the Golden Globes--Organicville Strawberry Ice Cream
  9. Either pancakes and sausage or a skillet dinner. I saute an onion, green pepper, and crumbled Jimmy Dean sausage (or any leftover meat I might have) in some olive oil until soft, add peeled and diced potatoes and cook till the potatoes are done and the bottom is crispy. Add shredded cheddar cheese at the end to melt over the top. (I pretty much always...
  10. Hi Jennirube--I would check with your doctor first
  11. I just love it! The 0% is so thick and creamy that I've never even tried the others It's also great on a baked potato instead of sour cream...so many uses....I buy it by the 35 oz tub.
  12. Yesterday-- B--Greek yogurt (Fage 0%) with a banana and half a Lara bar chopped up in it L--Salad with lowfat cheese, olive oil and vinegar S--Wegmans potato chips, some Junior Mints, tea (not all at once) D--Leftover homemade mac and cheese S--A little Greek yogurt with maple syrup and cinnamon
  13. I liked the taste of Splenda, but during the time I was using it I had night sweats, trouble sleeping, feeling of being off-kilter, stomach aches, and migraines. I didn't connect those things with the Splenda for quite a while--when I stopped using it, the symptoms subsided. I'm sensitive to a lot of things and get migraines as a result. The other...
  14. I think that's a good idea.
  15. Mine too--I actually cried a little last night while watching President Obama speak at the memorial. OMG Lough--you poor thing!
  16. Hopefully this isn't want you got and didn't like, but I always get Philip's Better Lemon Chicken with white rice. Chocolate Dome for dessert (if I can't eat it there, I take it home ).
  17. I love the stuff--we just bought a 12 pack of it at Shop Rite last weekend. It tasted good--not like diet soda at all. My husband would have caught it in a second if it was. Also, my husband was talking to someone at Pepsi (the company he works for does business with them) and this person told him that the Throwback was at first a limited time thing...
  18. I've used it with no problems. I prefer Nasacort AQ, though.
  19. I've had very good luck with Wal Mart--they have my information in their system and will call to verify with the drug manufacturer whether the drug is ok for me. Not all locations may be as helpful, though. CVS was of no help to me at all.... The best way to figure it out is to get the name of the drug company, Google it, and call them yourself.
  20. I edited my post to reflect a phone conversation I just had with a lady at Kraft. I also happen to have a package of Cracker Barrel Cheese here and I see the mold inhibitor on the label, but nowhere on it is there any mention of gluten. Kraft Foods--800-634-1984
  21. If you Google microwave pasta cooker, there are tons of ideas--many under $20. (I was surprised )
