    As a first degree relative, you're chances are about 1 in 20 that you'll develop it. As it can be triggered environmentally, if you have the genes for it, a negative test one year does not absolutely mean that you'll never develop it.     You talk to the hospital. They won't always get it right, but sometimes they will. But as you get better, you shouldn't need to be spending much time there.

    I used to live in HB and have eaten at the PF Changs in Long Beach and Irvine (not to mention a bunch of other places around the country), and never had a problem.

    I agree with ursa - iron levels aren't something to guess at. You want blood work to check on them - other things can affect your nails besides iron and calcium - and too much iron is bad for you in a number of ways (including your heart).
