  1. For me it was the brain fog and headaches. I'm at almost 7 months and I still have bloating and D...not every day all day anymore...but it's still there.
  2. Thanks Nicole! I got a call from the Dr's office saying that all my numbers were in normal range except RT3. And just follow up as planned. No follow up was discussed so I'm like...ummm k? So I asked the lady if the Dr would consider adding T3 as my hypo symptoms were still there Andy FT3 was at the bottom of normal. She said she'd check. Most likely...
  3. I do like the canyon bakehouse ones...my kids don't. Husband thought they were ok. Maybe they're just picky.
  4. Yep, that's it. So dense. My husband went gluten free when I was diagnosed and was just telling me he has a hard time getting through the whole sandwich...just too dense. Sigh. If you do find...please share!

  6. Thanks for that tip. Unfortunately the Red Robin here uses buns that are really thick and dense. My kids didn't like them either.
  7. Well, that is a bummer. I'd love to find something. When I'm packing lunches it's such a pain...constantly washing hands, etc. But so far none of the store breads we've tried have been great.
  8. Hey all... I have a somewhat shared kitchen still. I prepare all meals gluten free, but my kids still have their crackers, waffles, cereals and breads. I'd like to be able to move away from that. I'm wondering if anyone has a bread and/or hamburger bun that they use that is great. I like the Udi's burger buns, but my kids don't. Too thick or something...
  9. I have my test results...anyone want to play Dr with them? Everything is back except for the antibodies. Just a note...my cholesterol which was a high a month ago is now beautiful(LDL went from 115 to 80)? The only change was upping my thyroid medicine from 100-112 mcg. I believe there may be a link here. So, here are the results...my first time...
  10. I had my gallbladder out in February, 2 weeks after my celiac diagnosis. I have issues with both high fat and high sugar foods...Both result in D. I don't know if it's because of the lack of gallbladder or the celiac...but there are others who have issues with fat after gallbladder removal so I'm going with that. It's kind of a bummer because I do feel...
  11. Oh Beth...I'm sorry...that sounds rough. Before I was diagnosed I was like that, but have seen improvement. Had to go back to my Dr though because I'm still pretty tired. They are running a thyroid panel on me to see if something is up there. I'm hypo, but have never been tested for Hashi's. Has yours been checked recently to see if your on the right...
  12. The food diary helped me to see that I can't handle a lot of fat...probably the result of no gallbladder...it was removed 2 weeks after celiac diagnosis. I was still having issues with bloating and D and so have been cutting out other things trying to figure out some more. It may help you to figure out some other things that may bother your system. Mentally...
  13. I'm sorry...that is frustrating. I've been there too. I do find this disease to be extremely frustrating! How long have you been gluten free? I think it takes longer to heal than we expect in the beginning. Do you keep a food diary to figure out when you get symptoms what may have caused it? I doubt that either of those things would cause a glutening...
  14. Yeah, I know. I figure that too. I do wish though that this extra b12 would give me some energy.
  15. Nicole and Colleen...saw my Dr yes and asked about the high b12. Not sure I got a great answer...but here it is. He's not worried about it because it's only 100 points above the normal. He said if it was double the normal or something like that we'd need to look into it. He said at this level it's most likely caused by vitamins and food. At the time I...
  16. Does anyone know why this happens? I'm fairly sure that I am having issues with different things now too. It's annoying number one because I continue to feel bad and number two because I feel like I'm running out of things to eat! For me I get GI symptoms...bloating or D. So far I did 2 weeks without dairy and soy...didn't really notice a difference...
  17. I just want to send you a huge (hug)...you are going through so much. Please hang I'm there and keep us posted. I also have a complete anxiety about Dr's and ERs so I hear you...but sometimes you have to go in. Please take care.
  18. That's really interesting to me as I am having gastrointestinal trouble...specifically bloating and D. I've tried cutting out all dairy and soy, coffee, and am ttrying low histamine. I just wasn't thinking maybe a specific food was causing it. I was thinking more food groups. Thanks for the info...how long have you been gluten free? Now I'll stop hijacking...
  19. Those bad days can really take a lot out of you though...it's a hard place to be. I think the food diary thing is a great idea. It may help you to establish patterns of where you don't feel well. I started keeping one May. I've figured out that if I eat a lot of fat I get D...This may be due to the gallbladder I had removed in February. I also noticed...
  20. Hi Diane...I just wanted to see if you could share more on the OAS. I was just with my allergist this week talking about my allergy shots. I have allergies to just about every everything it seems. We did talk about OAS but not about it causing GI effects. Can you tell me what foods cause this for you? Thanks
  21. Hi Elless...I get it. I find this whole disease to be extremely frustrating...I think every post I've started is something related to frustration. It's hard not to be...your doctor says don't eat gluten and you think that will fix it. Time goes by and you still don't feel good. That's hard. It took me a month to not have D every day. I still have...
  22. Thanks for the vote of confidence! If I find her, I'll have to let you know. Definitely one of the most difficult parts of this has been feeling bad while taking care of my kids. My youngest was 3 last weekend. I feel like I can't be the mom they deserve and that makes me sad. But every day I'm doing everything I can to get better.
  23. That's funny...my husband was just saying that he needs to become a better fisherman to feed me. He doesn't get much time to between work, the kids and coaching soccer...but I would welcome some fresh fish! Your bread like substance sounds good to me...but then again I'm hungry. Lol! Would you be willing to share the recipe when you have time? Thanks
  24. I hear you, Lisa, I do. I just can't figure it out. I'm hungry a lot of the time and I look at food and just don't know. This is taking a huge toll on me mentally. I am trying to do something for me each day...but even when I do I have a hard time not thinking about all of this. On the bright side I had a good appointment with my allergist this week...
  25. Thanks so much for the encouragement Jess...I appreciate it. Also want to say that I really enjoy your blog. I've become afraid of food. I hate that. I've always enjoyed cooking and baking and eating it. Now, I feel myself just not wanting to eat...what else will bother me? I did dairy and soy free for 2 weeks and no change. Added back in a little...
