  1. This is a bit of a funny issues, I have been thinking I had a histamine issue for the past few months, as certain foods caused me to get sick and vomit, form a mucus on top of my stomach acid, and all kinds of gastric issues. I assumed histamine due to foods like Red Ripe Tomatoes causing me to vomit, raw almonds, raw seeds, raw cocoa from big tree farms...
  2. until

Anyone else going to this? I got my tickets and will be checking it out on Sunday.
  3. Just be careful with their brands, constant issues with them every now and then, bunch of people getting sick form the lentils from their brand awhile back with them being gluten contaminated, and I recall their brand of gluten free bars at one point were being passed off as gluten free while containing malt extract. I would only use them for whole foods...
  4. https://www.amazon.com/Nutilight-Sugar-Hazelnut-Spread-Chocolate/dp/B00B5I1ZO6/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1508086449&sr=8-1&keywords=nutri%2Blight&th=1 You just eat more fat, replace your carbs with protein and fat. Your body just changes gears, the human body is actually designed to rotate with the seasons on foods form...
  5. Check out the newbie 101 section Yeah we suggest not eating out, cross contamination is a HUGE issue in restaurants unless 100% gluten free, and you have to grill the staff. Most fast food joints even the gluten free items are Russian roulette. On the go meal traveling usually involves meal prep and "lunch kits" I got a JAXs pack and it carries 2-3 meals...
  6. Yeah sounds like my gluten ataxia induced peripheral neuropathy, It can be just another issues with celiac disease, in my case my immune system also attacks my nervous system, and brain with gluten exposure, not just the gut. Goes away over time, yes but it takes a long time, and in my experience sticks around the most after a gluten exposure and is MUCH...
  7. Mission by many is considered safe, some have issues with corn, some gluten free corn alternatives are Beanitos (High in restaurant texture slight bean taste corn free), Bean Fields (lighter crisper more rice in them but corn free), and the taste can be really off but there are low carb protein chips like protes, that are dairy free also useing vegan powder...
  8. While it seemed like a huge life style change at first. It really is quite simple, pain is most people are on the SAD (Standard American Diet) and makes changing to a whole foods only diet harder. But changing to food made in house of only 1-5 whole food unprocessed ingredients is quite simple. Using this method of simple meals of unprocessed food, and recording...
  9. I also have gluten ataxia, slight even residue CC is noticeable cause I start dropping things, and having coordination issues, I also tend to burn myself more due to lack of heat sensitivity and delayed reactions. Funny in that major contamination my stomach and guts notice it violently and I tend to lose motor control, but with tiny, tiny amounts I notice...
  10. Unsure I think it can be better shown in a line graph it really never drops below what a normal persons would be, but the longer your gluten free without mistakes I imagine the line heading down in your chances for other problems. I know my bloat and bloody stool started over a year after going gluten free, (still having cc issues in a shared house when it...
  11. I have genetically bad cholesterol, I also do not tolerate egg yolks (where it is) I tend to throw them up if I eat them. NOTE eating a bunch of fats etc does not normally give bad cholesterol unless you doing something like eating them in combination with sugars and carbs, this is where you end up with the health issues. As and example look up people on...
  12. Coconut secret is corn, soy, and gluten free. The teriyaki, and garlic sauce are great in stir fries and marinades. The coconut Amino's works just like soy sauce in any recipe.
  13. Celiac can be dormant for years after birth. It is suggested that children of people with celiac get tested every few years in case the gene becomes active. As for contamination your not paranoid at all. Any CC that makes you sick is proof you need to vigilently avoid it. Quick thoughts, uni ideas, nordicware makes microwave cookware for everything omelette...
  14. https://www.kayemfoodservice.com/products/schonlands/franks/kayem-schonlands-natural-casing-franks-8-1 Does not state gluten free, but does not contain any gluten ingredients,....Here is my concern this a deli bulk item. as in delis buy them and sell them opened? This is a great concern for CC in and how they were handled. Many other things handled...
  15. Going on JMG suggestion STIR FRY, just heat up a skillet saute the veggies til caramelized a bit, I use Coconut Secret sauces, pour some over with a bit of water cover and simmer/steam til super soft and tender then serve over rice or noodles of choice. You can use eggs or meat for proteins in these and any veggies you want. Eggs, and Omelettes, Mix it...
  16. I would suggest getting tested, often T1 and celiac go hand in hand. Anemia is a common issue same with teh C and D. I never used to have the extreme stomach pains that I noticed, but you really do not notice it when it is there 24/7 for years. I had major constipation and anemia for my diagnosis, The dry skin between your fingers, weight drops, etc. Is...
  17. THIS is a old thread but in referance to your question. Christopher Bean Coffee company, I REALLY suggest the flavored coffees, they are all gluten free, and taste like the desserts they say. I came across this company earlier this year, drilled them in questions, learned the main sales manager has gluten issues in the family even, and I went as far as testing...

  19. Every time I see something about supposedly gluten free options being available then failing it really makes me strive more for starting that gluten free food truck. Mobile 100% dedicated gluten free/grain free food truck. So many people I could help, and do what I do best cooking gluten free food.
  20. I have nerve issues from gluten ataxia, and had and still have issues with constipation from gluten exposures. Funny thing about the back acne and the dandruff issues. Mine is caused by dairy... I get really odd dandruff like oily crud I could scrap off my scalp with my finger nails, and I get break out of little pimples on my back, some are deep ones when...
  21. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/117090-gluten-free-food-alternatives-list/ I use Julian Vegan and Peagan bars often, seeds from GERBS, almonds from my wholesale supplier, for on the go stuff. My meal staples are omlettes, veggie stir frys, I sometimes make nachos with protes vegan protein chips and non dairy cheese, califlour plant based...
  22. ......de-ja vu sorry for the amusement. I find it very enlightening to find someone else with Asperger here. And yes it is possible for the neuro symptoms to cause depression, for me it was a combination of depression, anxiety, fog, etc. It got worse right up before my dia. thought I was dying. I also get gluten ataxia issues with it where it caused me brain...
  23. I have two I can not choose on. "A little will not hurt you" and The people that think there is some miracle cure for it they have and I just need to do blah blah blah and it is not a true AI issue.
  24. I have something I want you to try, while sitting down in a chair lean forward just slightly and arch your back a bit, and if you can reach back using your middle knuckles press on your lower back on each side of the spine and roll down to below your waist line pressing with decent pressure. Then work out along the sides of the waist line to the upper glutes...
  25. You should ask your doctor for a proper blood test, and be prepared for a follow up endoscope and biopsy to check for villi damage. You have to be consuming gluten for 12 weeks daily before the blood test, at least half a slice of bread a day. This is referred to as a gluten challenge. You will then after the blood test need to stay on gluten til the endoscope...
