Gluten-free dish detergent?
Ennis-TX replied to Ga3's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Never heard of gluten in dish soap, but going to be honest. Ever since I removed all gluten, dairy from my house, and always used foil in baking pans. I think this might also do with I wash right after using something and never have a dirty dish in my sink, but I have not needed a dish soap in 3 years. Stuff just rinses off, then I use a sanitize bleach dip... -
Cream of celery soup
Ennis-TX replied to mbrookes's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
What I do is, chop celery and sometimes a bit of onion, saute in Nutiva butter flavored coconut oil in a small sauce pot, then pour in 16oz of milk of choice (I use coconut canned milk or sometimes another nut milk) bring to a quick boil, turn to low and simmer for 5-10mins then put it in a blender and make my own. If you want it without celery pulp you can... -

Hope you like them, they can take some getting used to, but the nutrient profile of them is amazing and they are addictive like M&Ms once you get used to them and mix them in a bowl with a sugar free sweetener. If you do not mind me asking which ones did you get and your opinion on the flavor and how you eat them. I sometimes wonder if I am just broken... -
gluten free turkeys

Yep, and the way most commercial butcher/slaughter houses work they do not rupture the stomach, or guts when removing so non of it spills in your meat. In the case of a local butcher I might be a be apprehensive but it should be safe. Main concerns with meats is if they used wheat flour or ingredients in a glaze, or in the broth they bird is packed in. If... -
Antibiotics With Wheat In Them?
Ennis-TX replied to MissyJoy's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
This topic is over 7 years old when the last response was made prior to yours, you brought up some interesting information and a neat story. Many of us here are used to having to contact pill manufactures about ingredients, and there is even a website that someone can link you to that tells you what prescription options are available that are gluten free... -

Magnesium, if your hurting like the flu, sleeping bad, and running like crazy your depleting your magnesium stores like crazy. I should know well about that I have to take 2-4 times the recommended dose. I use a powder I add to drinks, I use both Doctors Best and Natural Vitality calm, I feel and prefer calm more, but it can cause D and gastric issues. Doctors... -
Hmm, while not quite possible to live off for extended amounts of time they do make a bunch of gluten free meal bars. meal shakes etc. Augason Farms used to have freeze dried gluten free food/meals, and mountain house makes some of the MREs gluten free just check their list and select the "gluten free" check box. Bar wise I swear by Julian Bakery as a dairy...

Lower back pain
Ennis-TX replied to Victoria1234's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I take a scoop of Neocell Collagen twice a day and I take Jarrow joint support, Some days I like liquid health glucosomine when my joints start to ache more. Turmeric tea, soup, and using it seasonings is really helpful for reducing inflammation. -
LOL yep I think 5-7 times today for me, and 2 of them I laughed at the fat ass waddle by my booth in my head and go to the booth of gluten strudels at the farmers market. Yep I inform them I sell gluten free baked goods, artisan almond butters and diary free icecream. I get that disgusted look, that laugh, that oh really?, that "I like my gluten" (literally...

Californian pizza kitchen birthday reward
Ennis-TX replied to kareng's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I know right, that happy jump up and down moment when you recreate a childhood classic in a gluten free version, simple things are the best. I recreated my grandmothers empanadas using plantain batter and cinnamon pumpkin filling. Could not eat them due to carbs but I could nibble on them and taste them without getting sick. That Pizza crust thing reminded...- 6 replies

Ennis-TX replied to ironictruth's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yeah I had huge issues even with supplementation for years never getting it above 2, I started supplementing vitamin C also and got it up to 6 >.>. Doctor still wants to put me on a IV. I think it has to do with me power pacing 14+miles a day and working out. I have moved to a sublingual version myself so I can better manage dosing. Taste like blood... -
Unsure about universal studios, but in the case of Six Flags if you inform them of celiac they let you bring in a cooler of food and your own drinks as a medically required item. They do it for me and just stick the medical sticker on my cooler. Between my Celiac, and corn allergy nothing they serve or offer is safe for me.

Early on in my bakery days with gluten free, I did a experiment using Greek yogurt in the bread to and a extract I had found to make a type of sour dough knock off the texture was more cake like and soft. I do have a theory on making a new version, but the process of of making it gives a high chance for food poisonings.

Funny thing I was looking at pollution mask for heading out. I found tis one company that makes some really high quality ones that do not look that bad and even had skin options. They would be great for people that have to head by a place doing construction, etc. Or just during high allergy season. I am looking at getting the Techno or Cinqro myself...

Got glutened 2 weeks ago, still feel awful
Ennis-TX replied to Noobette's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
It takes months to years for the villi to grow back....your antibodies can go back down and stop attacking your insides after 2-6weeks normally for some longer. Were you referring to the antibodies going down after 2 weeks? Don't worry about the misstatement, happens to me when I do not get enough coffee. Symptoms change constantly with this disease... -
Twinings Tea+ Gluten-free?
Ennis-TX replied to oceangirl's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I have been round about with teas for years before settling on Republic of Tea. The company has gluten free certified teas, and I drink 3-6 cups a day of their teas. -
LUCKY, I knew I found something relevant for someone when I saw that info. Here is the entry on pumpkin seeds form that protein entry. Pumpkin Are rich in Magnesium, zinc, Iron, copper, b-vitamins along with the vitamins K and E. They are also a great source of various amino acids, and are alkaline forming so they help balance diets high in acidic...

Yeah drop butter and margarine, drop dairy also. Nutiva Makes a butter flavored coconut oil I use on my grain free toast, in baked goods, and sometimes to saute something. I am actually in the process of doing various research and pulling a bunch of info on different nut and seeds in both whole and protein form. I am finding alot of them have a high reputation...

Half a slice of bread at least a day, some have used a few tsp of pure wheat germ or wheat gluten. If you show any damage period that is a sign you have celiac, if you show no damage consider the size of your intestines and the chance they could have missed it. There is also the condition NCGS that could be the issue. I opted out of my last gluten challenge...

Looking back on this post I realize the OP had some other issues....the finding that veggies made them gag, that is a sign. Normally children with celiac get it more often, forgot what it was called but certain textures and flavors end up making them gag and feel sick. I know we had a few times when members talked about it. The Joint pain is cause by either...

I have honestly not found one that does not contain my NO ingredients which for me the big issue is I have not found one that does not contain corn, sugar, or aspartame/asuflame. I take my standard B vitamin mix and half a pill of pure caffeine before my workout, a 5 hour shot sometimes, and I mix in some ketones at times when I feel extra foggy (this only...
