It isnt gluten related.. its been for days.. it doesnt hurt and not uncomfortable.. but doesnt smell nice at all.. and its rather ummmm... loud. Could it be a product of my medications? I did start a few new ones lately for different reasons.. I take a whole slew of stuff.....

He said there is some special... -
I remember penguin responding to this exact question (I think it was her) regarding tattoos as she used to work in a parlor. There is absolutely nothing to worry about with tattoo ink. The info on the tampons and whey is correct too.

TinkerbellSwt replied to ILOVEOMC's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Actually Butterball regular turkey is gluten free. As long as the turkey has no basting on it.. it should be fine. I ate Butterball at last Thanksgiving with no problem at all. -

ARCHIVED O.k..... So I Have To Brag
TinkerbellSwt replied to Trish in Canada's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Congrats Trish! I get excited too as my supermarket in the area is beginning to carry gluten free items. They now carry the Bobs gluten free.. but they mistakenly but all the gluten free flours on the shelf.. right next to a bag of Bobs Vital Wheat Gluten. UMMMM .. ok they arent fully informed yet. My b/f works for the company and is a major advocate... -
Welcome to the board! I concur with everyone else. It does get easier. I even think a certain brand of cheese doodles are gluten free, someone else with more info on that can post it for you. There are quite a lot of regular foods out there that are just naturally gluten free. This doesnt include mac and cheese though. Annies makes a good mac and cheese...

I agree with Carla, I very very rarely eat at any fast food joint. Even before gluten free.. its just too much processed food. I eat there once every six months on my way back from the Childrens Hospital in Philly. I wouldnt eat there on a regular basis, usually its just when I am so hungry I am light headed, after a day in that place it could make anyones...

I have never had any problems at Wendys. I eat their chili and their taco salad, minus the tortilla strips and salad dressing. I would love to be able to try their other salads. I always wondered why they werent gluten free. Seems like salads should just be gluten free because!! Thanks for the info

For me its the Amys. I got sick on way too many of her things. It also could be the antibiotic. I hope you feel better soon. -

ARCHIVED I Was Bitten By A Stray Kitten...
TinkerbellSwt replied to Lauren M's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Just as an FYI, my cat died of rabies. She had no visible signs of being bitten ever by any other animal. She had the docile form of the disease, so she had no foaming at the mouth or anything like that.. the only reason we knew something was wrong is when she tried to jump off a chair and her back legs fell to the ground with a thud. She was paralyzed... -
Wow.. I am not at this stage yet with my son to get into situations like that. Your boy sounds like a wonderful, trustworthy and in general a great kid. I would love to have someone like that around my son when he gets older.. someone who just may help and step in when a younger/smaller boy/girl is being harassed. Seems to me like you raised a great...

I unfortunatly have heard the opposite. I have heard of pit bulls that are so kind and gentle, supposedly not raised in any type of hostile environment (this cannot be proven though, she was gotten as a puppy just as the mother stopped feeding them) and the dog would turn on anyone she didnt know. It became a hardship just to walk the dog. She would go...

ARCHIVED Thanks For The Bread Recommendations....
TinkerbellSwt replied to 2ofus2kids2dogs's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I am glad you found a bread that you like. We also enjoy the tapioca bread. I now also use the mix to make my own at home.. it isnt bad.. the premade is better.. but the mix is cheaper.. ends up being about 3.00 per loaf. I have also found on here GFP Favorite Sandwich Bread, which I make in my bread maker. That bread here costs about 5.50, which... -

ARCHIVED New Gluten Free Cookies Are Not!
TinkerbellSwt replied to loraleena's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I, personally, stay away from anything that has the word wheat in it. I know how lousy I feel when I ingest anything with gluten in it and it just isnt worth it for me. My foods have to be totally gluten free. This is just my personal view. I know I have heard of people being able to digest wheat starch safely. I am too much of a scaredy cat.
