  1. I am very glad to hear you got your baby back. It is horrible how fast they take your children without asking any questions.
  2. I noticed in my worst days before the diagnosis of celiac my teeth really had problems, I got a lot of weak spots and a lot of tooth pain, luckily no cavities.
  3. We are getting married in October of this year. I am happy, scared, and how horrible does this sound not all that excited about planning it. I got my dress though! Thank you everyone for your suggestions. This is a big help!!!!
  4. Happy Birthday!!! Glad to hear the treats were a success!
  5. I enjoyed when we talked about "the nasties" just reminded me of my own nasties at work
  6. Thanks, I will let you know when we are thinking of heading out. Right now things are hectic with work and by the weather this morning it looks like winter has arrived. I will remember that though.
  7. It wasn't too long ago I saw a TV special that said chocolate had very healthy effects. I cannot remember exactly what they were, the show was on in the background. I wish I had time to sit and listen, because it seemed interesting.
  8. Hello, I hope you have done well in your road to recovery as far as the cancer was concerned. I know this whole diet seems overwhelming, it does get better. Once you get into a routine of it everything seems to fall in place. I don't live in bubble and I refuse to. Life is too short. I just watch what I am eating and I live my life. I had to give up some...
  9. LOL, had me on the floor!
  10. I don't think you really stole the magnet, where would you have put it, on someone elses car....You would never know which car to even put it on. Strange.
  11. Hi Everyone, We are planning a Honeymoon for the fall, October to be exact. For awhile we really wanted to do a cruise and I really had my heart set on Royal Caribbean. With the recent mass-sickness on cruise ships I changed my mind. So has anyone had a good time and could share it with me. We were looking at Beaches/Sandals, Atlantis. The all-inclusive...
  12. I am from PA, is this in the Southern part of Jersey?
  13. Glad to hear you had a good trip out. Sounds like a great place. I am 2 hrs from Philly but every now and again we do pass by. PS-I love Creme Brulee. You would not believe how many of those I buy when I go to the Wegmans.
  14. I am from the Harrisburg area, and besides my two celiac friends I really don't know anyone else. If anyone is ever going to get together and go out to eat down towards the Philly area I am willing to travel to dine with people who understand. I think we should do a road trip to Doylestown for the gluten-free pizza.
  15. That is a great way of putting it. It is true though, it is our bodies way of saying No more, Bad!
  16. I try getting enough rest at night, if I feel something coming on I try to head to bed a little earlier. I wash my hands very frequently. I am trying to eat more healthier, fruit and veggies for snacks. I also wipe my desk with lysol wipes too, keeps everyones germs at bay I keep my fingers crossed that the flu bug stays away
  17. My gluten-free store started carrying the chicken nuggets/tenders around Thanksgiving time. I bought a box and fell in love. I actually buy them by the case now, 12 boxes in a case, and a 10% discount for ordering in bulk. In my eyes, worth the $$$. I don't buy a lot of specialty products. I keep them unused ones in a spare freezer. I bought the case in early...
  18. I had them and didn't react, but I didn't think they were all that great so I have not bought them since. I bought a different brand since and they are better. I am going to have to go to Trader Joes and pick up the above mentioned waffles. I am not a big breakfast person but I do get a craving every now and again.
  19. Hi Everyone, My sister was in Italy last month to meet with her fiance's family, and she brought me home some gluten-free pasta. It was called Farmo and it was very tasty. She brought Penne, Spirals, Spaghetti and then she bought back what I could describe best as Pastina Pasta. I cannot find any gluten free pasta in that small of shape/size here. I have...
  20. I could use some brownies and some fruit salad.....and maybe some beef stir-fry...what a combo.
  21. I am hoping to find this in a store near me, it sounds very good!
  22. It's good to hear you are feeling better. Hope you continue wel on the road to recovery.
  23. Those are wonderful, I have tricked my coworkers with them, they did not believe they were gluten-free.
  24. MommaGoose-you sound like a terrific person. The story of the man in the grocery store really touched me. It is sad in a country as rich as ours we have people who cannot afford the things needed to survive such as food and shelter. I volunteer at a local shelter/soup kitchen. I started doing it as part of my college honor society group, we would go help...
