  1. What a wonderful response, and how nice of her to allow you to post the recipe.
  2. This is really good info Nantzie, bringing awareness to hormonal imbalances in men.
  3. Thanks Patti I have always used organic spectrum olive oil mayonaise, but I recently discovered it is mixed half and half with soybean oil and olive oil. I don't know why they have to put the soybean oil in it, well....actually I do, it's cheap! But it is really maddening. My stores only carry the other Spectrum mayos that have the soybean oil,...
  4. Bully4You I didn't feel better until I cleared out all packaged, processed foods (even the gluten-free stuff) and just ate as whole a diet as possible, foods in their natural state, good quality meats, fats and oils, vegetables and fruits, steamed brown rice, etc.
  5. Mine was really good, went to the park and later had a bbq. I cooked a lot of good gluten-free food. It rained here, and I mean rained, in the evening, I felt bad for everyone's firework plans. Andrea, that's always an adjustment for family members to make when going gluten-free. Hopefully your mother will understand with time it...
  6. Any mayonaise that is soy free? At all of my health food stores there is not one without soybean oil. Frustrating.
  7. Be careful of any canned chicken to make chicken salad. I don't remember what brand it is specifically at my Costco, but there is wheat starch listed as an ingredient.
  8. Wild Oats brand of Kansas City style BBQ Sauce is gluten free, I called the company to verify it. The other flavors might be as well, but I only asked about the KC Style.
  9. If I am not mistaken, the Dowd & Rogers brand of cake mixes use chestnut flour, so it might be the chestnut flour that is not agreeing with your tastebuds.
  10. THC can cause extreme dizziness, and is fat soluble staying in your body (including brain tissue) up to three weeks. Tests also have shown that THC blocks the immune system’s ability to function properly, have you considered giving up the doobage until your body has a chance to heal a little more? Not a lecture, just a question.
  11. I just saw Montina Flour the other day in my Wild Oats, I didn't realize it was wild rice? Good to know.
  12. I agree that talking with your family about how you feel would be helpful, they may not even realize how hurt you are. I would also suggest getting involved and taking your own food. Take your ow pizza and eat it right along with them for starters!
  13. These sound like great vitamins Andrea
  14. I am not for a gluten challenge personally either. I had similar results, like JodiC, things got worse for me after reintroducing wheat. I became hyper-sensitive to everything and all of my physical/emotional symptoms were magnified. But ultimately, everyone has to decide what is best for themselves. Whatever you do decide, best of luck to you...
  15. You give excellent advice tarnalberry, makes me want to train to run
  16. I'm also an A+ and I would always attract the bugs and get bitten. I just realized reading this post that this doesn't seem to be the case anymore, I haven't gotten bitten once this summer and I don't think I did last summer either. Hmmm, mystery? I had read about this somewhere some time ago, the reason why some people attract the mosquitos while others...
  17. I completely understand your feelings! I felt this way not too long ago when I went out of town with my whole family and my "special" food was not available. I sat in a restaurant and watched them eat all of this yummy stuff and it made me feel like I was on the outside looking in, and kind of abnormal. And I agree it isn't necessarily about the food, but...
  18. I watch the Food Network frequently, as well as visit the website for recipes, and I haven't seen anything about cooking gluten-free. I will keep my eye out for it. That would be great to have a show featuring gluten-free cooking!
  19. I don't really know about the supplements you are taking, but when you say the area around your groin is painful, is it tender to the touch? Sometimes this is an indication of your body fighting an infection, there are lymph nodes in the groin area. Just a thought. Could explain the fatigue. If you don't feel better in the next few days maybe try to get...
  20. I wonder if it would work with agave nectar as well?
  21. I agree, the website and number info for the companies is very helpful! Thanks for taking the time barilla to post all of this information.
  22. Thanks I still don't know why it is listed as what to avoid for celiacs. Maybe that is old info?
  23. I really don't have any concrete information, but I know for me at one time I had a sugar beet allergy and when I would drive through the part of town where there were a lot of sugar beet fields I would start sneezing and my eyes would swell up a little bit and get weepy. I think I was reacting to the air in that highly concentrated sugar beet area. I would...
  24. Try this link for pressure cooker recipes at Recipezaar (not necessarily gluten-free): Open Original Shared Link Also if you google "pressure cooker recipes" quite a few links come up. Even though they are updated from what they used to be, they still scare me a little. I'm affraid they are going to explode I love the taste of millet cooked...
