    The gluten free diet really calmed my son down. He was a 3 year old toddler at the time, so meltdowns were expected at that age. He is now thirteen and although he was never diagnosed (his younger sister was and that made it a gluten free household) he vomits when he has had accidental gluten. My daughter was so young (and sick) it was like an after thought...

    Thanks for the tip Bartie! I know of the research showing the higher cancer risk, but I just don't know how to live longer ~if I had to smell bad.

    I didn't think deodorant would be a big deal about gluten. So I was using Ban Sweet Surender which has barley in it. Big mistake. I was having vague symptoms for 2 and a half weeks some time after I had started using it. How could it be possible? I don't really know, but I got rid of the Ban and got better.     Now that you have been gluten free your Celiac panel may not be accurate. Keep a food journal. (by journal I mean everything gets written down about food, activities, and BMs/symptoms)

    I think you are going to find out that your reactions to accidental gluten exposure are not fake. Testing just is not accurate enough to "catch" every case and diagnose it. There is now recognized NCGI Non-Celiac gluten intolerance the medical community is admitting some have non diagnosable gut damage, but are suffering from gluten exposure. Mostly noticed...

    I have already lectured my kids on this. Future directive order to kids. On searching for the future spouse please take a look at an only child who has been orphaned. (No in-laws to deal with.) .. and elope, and wait to have children for when you are prepared to provide for them.

    A little at a time. I over did it at first and had to try again later. I am glad I did. A little in cookies and occasion breakfast is a nice change once in a while.

    Some gluten free oats have a "challenge for toleration" chart on the package. Day one -2 Tablespoons, Day 2 -3 Tablespoons. (as example) Using a gradual increase, you may be able to tolerate them.

    You can try the bread agin but toast or grill it for sandwiches. Some people have liked using Bento boxes and using a more "Asian" flair for meals. That can be like a work of art if you want to put that much effort into it.     When my son was 12 he had a virus that lasted all summer. Everytime I took him to the doctor he did have an ear infection (swimmer's ear)present too.     Do you have a hard copy of the biopy results? Just to see what has been ruled out, and where further testing may lead. Honestly I don't know why they didn't try allergy testing yet. (Not helpful in our medical experience, and Celiac is NOT an allergy)
