  1. If you are in USA you could be violating some obsure, but new FDA law. You need to talk to a lawyer. Not all pills are created equal: some are Class C which are narcotics - even a mild narcotic like Ambien or Xanax and the C's could post a higher risk for you to have legal troubles. I'd recommend fake pills until you chat with a lawyer. I don't think...
  2. Ursa: I have known you through this board for so long and know what a caring mom and grandma you are. And you are a loving person as well. I feel for you and my prayer today is that the Holy Spirit comes to your daughter to impart some wisdom and maturity in her life and that the Spirit also grants you comfort and patience on this hot topic. I...
  3. Ok, another 3 fowl stories While working in a 3 story office building which had glass reflective windows...one afternoon a duck flew into the plate glass and landed in my boss' chair. Thankfully he was out in the corridor when it happened. There was glass all over the room and a male mallard duck with a damaged beak who was a little stunned. The sound...
  4. My sister in law did that routine to her brother (my husband) --- peeling potatoes (a good thing) to make mashed potatoes BUT while she was peeling the potatoes she was eating gluten Italian bread and the crumbs were flying on the newly peeled potatoes, flying in the pot of cut potatoes. We were aghast (I tried to arrive there early on so that I could...
  5. The dictionaries for this stuff is a nice idea but I really don't have that kind of time because the abbreviations are so rampant. For communication lines to work, it is necessary to try to achieve comunicating the message on the first try. Having the reader have to shoot back and forth to a dictionary makes it cumbersome and also makes the reader feel...
  6. When using the cans, is there a risk of getting lead in your food? I avoided that because I thought that the cans were sealed at seam with lead... I did try the hamburger "rings" purchased from baking supply place and that didn't work either.....
  7. I'll have to ask for that flyer next time I am in there....I've been in there several times and poured through each aisle - literally stood there and scanned the shelves to the point like I appeared to be a distributor searching for a place to put their products....if gluten-free foods are in there they are in hiding. But the wine dept. is huge!
  8. Belated Happy Birthday Wishes - Deb
  9. This is just a guess: I don't know I wish the abbreviations would be kept to a minimum as many of us aren't up to date with text messaging lettering. For a while I thought POS meant Positive... and I couldn't figure out a sentence such as this: The new thing I purchased was a pos. Then I finally figured it out days later. Since we aren...
  10. As hard as I tried, I could never make proper sized and shaped and texture hamburger buns and go to Kinninnick for them.
  11. Where are Birch sheets sold?
  12. What is the direction for laundering them? regular hot wash and cotton setting for dryer? Or do they have to be air dryed or partially dryed? I would imagine they are delicate setting (?)
  13. Just as a curiousity, do you feel less car sick when you are in front passenger seat? Do you feel car sick when riding in a big bus (as compared to a shuttle sized bus)? My sister in law, who I feel has celiac & won't get tested for it, has been complaining of car sickness for years and only can be passenger in front seat and never can ride...
  14. Have you received any anti-viral prescription from Dr.?
  15. I went from nodule to removal of right side of thyroid...nodule was benign after all. On synthroid for rest of my life to prevent nodules in left side from forming
  16. I suppose they'll use anything as long as it is the cheapest....
  17. RE: Bamboo flooring How does this flooring hold up to imprints of high heels? Isn't bamboo a softer wood? Do you know if it could be used as an interior door?
  18. Situation: I am on boards, reading, responding making new threads and "BOOM" I have to stop to sign in again. Ok, I sign in again and after reading and responding like usual, "BOOM" I have to stop to sign in again. Ok, I sign in again and after reading and responding like usual, "BOOM" I have to sign in all over again. Is this a new function...
  19. Although it just occurred to me that the large pharmacy chains like CVS, Rite Aide etc. should have a toll free number for people to at least check into the prescription or get a phone number from them for the pharmaceutical company at least. That would improve Customer Service.
  20. and the brand name pharmaceutical companies offices (for phone numbers and websites) are easier to locate than the generics
  21. Opinions anyone? Are they soft? Are they durable? Do they only come in blah institutional colors (drab green, greyish blue, greenish yellow?) Has anyone seen bamboo fabric yet in clothing? Pros and cons?
  22. ah! The Whole Foods nearest me is actually gearing up to relocate about a mile closer to me to a bigger facility. But this is making it so that there's less stock to choose from. They keep rotating the gluten-free with normal gluten products. Then I'll go back months later after I found somwhere else to buy it from, and "poof" they have it again...
  23. This works for us....slice with a "bread" knife and you'll be able to make more uniform slices. We get about 9 or 10 slices from one loaf.
  24. Just an obsevation....today it snowed 6-8 inches....so we're out there, the only ones, shoveling around our car. The property is the responsibility of the landlord but I can't seem to giggle a little when I think of the young he-men in my apt. complex whom I see going to the gym with their little bags and when it snows I never, ever see them out there...
