  1. In our section of NJ, the supermarkets are not quite up to the task of supplying us with gluten-free products. They claim to have an aisle of gluten-free products but it's not the entire aisle and the items are usually past their expiration date. I had this happen in a Shop Rite by the way. The further into the west and southern parts of the state is...
  2. Hi Gluten Free mall (this site) carries it. Deb
  3. The products have Chestnut flour....comments or opinions anyone? Thanks Deb
  4. We are in Union Twp Union County; where are you in Essex County? I don't know of any Wegman's other than Woodbridge and near Princeton, NJ. The further you go out of the "City/Urban" area like Essex County, the more likely you are to get a bigger variety of gluten free food. I do a lot of my shopping over internet and yes, it's pricey & shipping...
  5. This almost the same response I got from L'Oreal last year when I called them about a body lotion. They said that the fragrances could contain gluten.
  6. what is acetic acid? (see receipe) and where does one get it?
  7. I thought I read this wasn't lactose based...then I read differently.. Does anyone know this answer? Thanks Deb
  8. ...I wouldn't take this chance until I knew for sure that my mail was being forwarded properly. I moved out of a place on bad terms with someone (I was right and she - the landlord - was wrong) and she threw my mail away before the forwarding order started. Thankfully I didn't miss anything serious, but I did miss some bills and other stuff. People...
  9. We USED to eat over my mother in law's house a lot....and this was the one thing she couldn't understand....we begged her not to use her electric can opener for this very reason. She wouldn't change her ways and started opening the cans BEFORE we got there so we wouldn't see that she used the electric can opener (her daughter lived with her, so someone...
  10. Years ago there was a tampon out called "Rely" and they were pulled off the market because they were too absorbent and caused infection which lead to several deaths. I'm not kidding - this isn't an urban legend. The product was made around 1981 and was only out for a few years.
  11. I thought this too...that it's all a staged gimmick and they never intended to follow the results of the poll in the first place. Doing a food allergy/intolerance magazine to them probably seems too complicated and now they want to back off by not showing the voting results each time a vote is cast - or their vote counting system can't count that high ...
  12. I used to get strep throat multiple times per year. This might sound crazy but I now get strep throat about once every 18 months. The difference is from the time I had my partial hysterectomy. Now you may ask how does this make sense? I asked my ob/gyn and she said that the unterine fibroid tumors I had were bleeding excessively, which in turn ran...
  13. Because the tumors (multiple) were large, they mis-shaped my cervix which made anything by cervix like a diaphram or tapon "not fit". Major symptoms was heavy and long periods, spotting between periods. Much pain during period: cramps and pain going down thighs. Overwhelming lower ab bloating during period. Fatigue and low immune system response...
  14. Did my daily vote at 5 AM today and have to report that the site no longer gives a percentage of each category of votes....somehow someway they must be on this forum noticing that we're talking about the vote percentages and they took that part of their site..... As to the pets - there are a couple of great magazines already out there: Dog Fancy and...
  15. as my fibroid tumors got larger, it got harder to use tampons and once in, they would annoy me....
  16. 2/4/08 58% as of 6:45 AM
  17. AliB: My husband did not get the numbness and tingling until after going gluten-free too. He gets the shots once a month and they've diagnosed him with Restless Leg Syndrome too.
  18. Open Original Shared Link We purchase bread crumbs from this company (along with hamburger buns and other breads)
  19. From someone who is constantly going thru ob/gyn issues and my husand is the celiac, not me.. Fibroid tumors from age 23 to 36 -- had tumors removed at age 36 and one fallopian tube removed as it was crushed by the multiple tumors and the other one was "tied". I was able to stop taking birth control pills and then the ovarian cysts began. Quietly...

This is what I sent out to my email buddies to ask them to vote pro food intolerance issue: RE: Help & Vote (Non Political) - Health Issue Open Original Shared Link To my email buddies: All of you know that I rarely send out "mass" emails or jokes or stuff like that. I get them, read them and sometimes pass them along, but...
  21. Open Original Shared Link To my email buddies: All of you know that I rarely send out "mass" emails or jokes or stuff like that. I get them, read them and sometimes pass them along, but that's rare for me. Today's email is to ask you to go into the Martha Stewart magazine site and vote on behalf of me and my husband that her magazine should...
  22. For me, it was accurate.....although I am not thrilled with any candidate, any party. Maybe I am just difficult to please....
  23. Dr. HUlda Clark- What is an N.D.? Just be careful about the flushes.....kidney stones and gall stones are two different areas of the body and do not interchange with each other. I recommend talking to doctor & having tests done to confirm that you have stones in kidney or gall bladder before trying to do any type of flush as you could be making...
  24. I've heard that about Asian medicine before....
  25. Wow! Sounds like he has a gluten intolerance issue he should look into......
