It won't have wheat in it and processed stuff can be iffy, but there's really a lot more there than you think right now.     You really, really need to ask and not assume. Many places are helpful these days. Check on the turkey, clams and mussels, pork loin, yams,mashed potatoes pudding and ice cream. Some of that should be gluten-free. The ham glaze could have wheat and the pot roast is almost certainly out. Same with the Asian grill. Salad bar will have gluten-free stuff but...

    "Vinegar" IS distilled vinegar in the U.S. And as the website says, all of Franks products are gluten-free.

    According to wikipedia, these are the ingredients: Caramel, Vegetable Base (Water, Carrots, Onions, Celery, Parsnips, Turnips, Salt, Parsley, Spices), Sodium benzoate and Sulfiting agents. Looks gluten-free.

    Here's what the HB website FAQ says when you go to look at ingredients: * You are now free to enjoy any of our signature meats (HoneyBaked Ham, Sliced & Glazed Turkey, HoneyBaked Deli Style Boneless Ham) without wheat gluten. The ingredients used to clearly list wheat. Now the wheat is gone.

    Perhaps this so in New Zealand but in the U.S. everything you name is almost without exception gluten-free. There are a few salad dressings with gluten, but the gluten is pretty much always listed. Seasoning blends can have gluten, but it's rare and it's listed. There's exactly one bacon that I know of that has gluten (it's clearly listed) and the fake bacon...

    Sorry, but you are mistaken. In the U.S., the broth or flavorings you see in poultry either never or almost never contain gluten. Just because it says broth doesn't mean it has gluten.     You can avoid buying all that expensive gluten-free stuff (which I do most of the time) or you can make some of it yourself, which is cheaper. Generally, I just eat naturally gluten-free food. There are also some cheap subs. I wrap stuff in lettuce or corn tortillas for sandwiches and also use corn tortillas as mini pizzas. richard

    The McD site notes that there is some sort of wheat in a flavoring or some such involving the oil. The reality is that by the time the oil is processed there's no measurable amount of gluten left.     Call the company yourself if possible, but the reality is that the med is almost certainly does NOT have gluten. Very, very, very, very few meds have gluten. We're talking way under 1 percent. richard

    Hornsby has now confirmed that their cider is gluten-free. I really can't think of a hard cider that isn't gluten-free. richard

    There really is no debate about caramel color. It's safe. And Coke is most definitely gluten-free. richard

    Which ciders have you found that are not gluten-free? My experience (in the U.S.) has been that most are gluten-free. richard
