I tried to link to another post on this topic but it didn't work. This is taken from the Alamo Celiac support group's website: Sonic. 866-657-6642. No gluten-free menu that is printed or published on the Internet. However, a company representative at Sonic's toll-free number verbally gave the following list of gluten-free menu items: Bacon Breakfast...

ARCHIVED Cross Contamination Worries?
celiacgirls replied to suz101's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
If I can find an equivalent product that isn't produced in a place with wheat, I get that. If not, I possibly try it but watch for a reaction. I do not use products that say "may contain traces of wheat". -
ARCHIVED What's That Lab That Does Fecal Testing?
celiacgirls replied to vampella's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I'm in Camp #1. One of my daughters had GI symptoms and tested positive with Enterolab and negative with the regular blood tests. My other daughter and I didn't have GI symptoms but tested positive with Enterolab and feel much happier gluten free. -
ARCHIVED I Have To Vent!
celiacgirls replied to ptkds's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I would send her with her own treat every day and make it something really good so she doesn't feel deprived. I wouldn't try to match what the teacher does at this point but just send something she likes and maybe doesn't always get. Skittles, popcorn, gluten-free brownie, potato chips, etc. I do agree that there is a huge emphasis on junky food in the... -

ARCHIVED Very Very Concerned Parent (long)
celiacgirls replied to nogluten77's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
It is possibly coming from school. I know my daughter is compliant on the diet but I was shocked to see her friends putting their hands in her cookies while they were eating pizza! The next time I went, I saw them sharing potato chips with her. The potato chips were fine but the hamburger bun they were eating at the same time was not. The teacher has... -

ARCHIVED Burning Issue: Fruity Pebbles And Cocoa Pebbles
celiacgirls replied to surfgolden's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
They are made by Post which is a Kraft product. Kraft is a company who will list all sources of gluten. My kids have been eating them recently without problems. -
ARCHIVED gluten-free Pizza Delivery In Kansas City!
celiacgirls replied to KellyM's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I went to Waldo's last week when I was in KC. We ordered the gluten free/dairy free crust. Even my gluten-eating friend liked it. We ordered the soy cheese and the waitress came back out to tell us that the soy cheese had casein in it but they had vegan cheese which did not. I didn't even ask her about that but luckily, they knew enough about it to... -
ARCHIVED Daughter's Enterolab Results Are In. What Should I Do Now?
celiacgirls replied to emtek5's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Both of my daughters are gluten and casein intolerant by Enterolab. I am also pretty indulgent when it comes to the junk food now as long as it is gluten/casein free so that we can focus on all of the things they can have. When they go to a friend's house, I send them food to eat. I have some individual pizzas already made and frozen that they can easily... -
ARCHIVED Food And Blue Ice Thru Security
celiacgirls replied to Phyllis28's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
I just traveled through the Austin and Kansas City airports with a small, soft cooler as a carry on. I had 2 packages of the blue ice gel in there and didn't have any trouble. I had my results letter from Enterolab with me in case they asked but they didn't question me. On the way there, I also forgot to separate my lip gloss into the plastic bag and that... -
ARCHIVED Can It Really Be This Simple?
celiacgirls replied to JerryK's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
For me it was that simple. I wasn't on the a/d's as long as you but I started tapering off them 2 days after I went gluten-free. My daughter was diagnosed with depression and had behaviour issues at home that have gone away. She's still tapering off her a/d. But when she went gluten-free, we were thinking we would have to add an anti-psychotic or mood... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Care To Guess...
celiacgirls replied to JerryK's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I don't have a guess for you but as a comparison, my husband's Enterolab tests were 18 for the gluten antibody test and 14 for the tTg test and his blood tests were normal. -
ARCHIVED Birthday Cake Recipe
celiacgirls replied to LED's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I make the 'Cause You're Special yellow cake. The recipe calls for butter and milk so I use coconut oil and almond milk. I use eggs but it says you can substitute for that also. The mix has no gluten, casein, nuts, or soy. I have found it at a health food store here but I used to order it online at www.causeyourespecial.com. All the gluten eaters I have... -
I've re-read some of your posts and it looks like you have only been gluten-free since a little before Thanksgiving. Are you sure you have all traces of gluten and/or dairy out of your diet? I'm asking because after I had been gluten-free for a few months, I noticed I was tired and irritable again. I had been eating out at supposedly safe places then...

ARCHIVED Warning For Blue Bell Ice Cream Lovers!
celiacgirls replied to ptkds's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
This is disappointing. I talked to them over the summer and I thought they said everything except the obvious ones were gluten-free. We can only eat their popcicles because we are dairy free, too but I will make sure to read those labels again. Why does ice cream have wheat in it? Was it actually in the ice cream or did it just say manufactured in a... -
ARCHIVED Feeling Awful ; Thinking About Going Back
celiacgirls replied to betterbelly's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It is true that when you go gluten-free, your body sometimes loses its tolerance for even tiny amounts of gluten, making you feel worse than before. But that must mean you really do have an intolerance. The effects can last a long time, too. For me, my last one lasted 2 1/2 weeks. You must have felt pretty bad in the beginning to make such a big... -
Bad behaviour is one of my daughter's only symptom. Eating gluten or casein causes her to be angry, aggressive, and defiant. The only test she has ever had is the Enterolab test. My other daughter does have stomach issues but she is more anxious and ADHD-like when she has eaten something. Her blood tests were negative but her Enterolab tests were positive...

ARCHIVED Pretty Sure I'm Allergic, But Want To Know For Sure
celiacgirls replied to Foyle's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
You could test with Enterolab to see if you have an intolerance to gluten and/or casein (the protein in milk). The test is very sensitive and can pick up antibodies for possibly up to a year after you have eliminated gluten and casein. An intolerance is different than an allergy but could be what you are dealing with. -

ARCHIVED Question About Lexipro (sp?)
celiacgirls replied to a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I agree. Another thing my daughter's doctor said is that the risk of suicide (a possible side effect of taking the a/d's especially for children but adults, too) is highest when changing the dose of the a/d. It's always best to be supervised by a doctor at this time. -
ARCHIVED Does Hubby Really Have Caliacs
celiacgirls replied to helphubby's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I will also encourage him to try the diet. I was tested because of my daughter's positive Enterolab test. I thought I had no symptoms but my depression, irritability, fatigue, and foggy head all went away within days of going gluten free. I am off from my antidepressant now and feel better than I ever did. I never had the blood test so I'm not sure... -
ARCHIVED Question About Lexipro (sp?)
celiacgirls replied to a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I weaned off from Lexapro pretty quickly when I went gluten-free. I was taking 10mg and started taking 5. I did that for a few days, maybe a week and then tried to go to nothing. I felt dizzy from nothing so I took 2.5 mg for a while, then 1.25. Eventually, I did take it only when I was dizzy until I forgot about it. I was completely off in probably... -
ARCHIVED Enterolab Accuracy Question
celiacgirls replied to ReneCox's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Enterolab's testing hasn't been peer reviewed so many doctors are skeptical about it. I believe for my family it was accurate. One of my daughters had mild GI symptoms her whole life, beginning when I gave her wheat. All of her blood tests were negative for celiac. When I tested her with Enterolab, it was positive and her symptoms are mostly gone... -
ARCHIVED The Christmas/ New Year Period
celiacgirls replied to Saz's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I can relate to this. When we get glutened, one daughter is anxious, one is defiant, and I am irritable. Not a good combination. Thankfully, we did not get glutened over the holidays. My mother and one sister and her family are all gluten free also but not as concerned about cc and trace amounts as me. They did make an effort for us and almost everything...
