Gluten free/ dairy free and losing weight

Hey everyone I'm thinking of going gluten and dairy free. No, I'm not gluten or dairy intolerant but both foods disrupt most people even without these celaic or lactose intolerance. They're just hard foods to digest for most whether they show symptoms or not. Anyways I have a question. I'm at a healthy good weight with a natural build to me.  I'm afraid going gluten and dairy free will make weight when I don't need to and make me scrauny or lose muscle. What are your guys thoughts?

Paleo/Keto is a diet I follow with high fats and protein and low carb, Gluten free, Dairy Free, Corn Free, and Sugar Free. I also am body building with this diet.
Best suggestion, whole foods diet, avoid the gluten free processed crap they load with sugar, starches, and excess crud and you will be fine.
And yes I have Celiac, lactose intolerance, corn and whey allergies and another disease that reacts to sugars, I adopted this diet for my health but have come to love it.

I have had symptoms of Sjogren's since November.  Since it has taken 5 months to get to the Doctors who can verify that, I put myself on what I understood was an "auto-immune" diet.  I was quite sick for about 2 months having gone cold turkey on that plan, and moved to a dairy, gluten-free diet shortly after that.  I was 138 lbs and went to 122 at my lowest, really don't need to do that!  I contracted a 3rd DVT from a 8 hr trip to Santa Fe in late December and have been on a blood thinner which does not let me eat the leafy greens that I need for the Gluten Free which has restricted my diet to where I don't know what to eat.  I was dealing well with my digestive tract until that time, and am still, but cannot figure what to eat now that the one problem messes up the other.  Today, I had a lactose test and it was negative!  A light at the end of tunnel!  Now what, milkshakes and ice cream to get my weight up, or will that mess up my gluten free diet and a calm stomach?  I need to gain weight so badly, but there is not much sympathy here in Oklahoma for that problem, I can assure you.  Five new Doctors, but all have just eliminated other auto-immunes but don't give me a definite diagnosis at this point.  Guess my main question is, if I start using dairy again, will that nullify my ability to correct my problem by staying on Gluten Free?

By all means have dairy!  It is okay for the gluten free diet.  But it might negate the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) die that might have been trying to adhere to.  That most likely does not allow dairy.  It probably has more to do with the milk proteins (casein) that lactose (milk sugars).  The proteins are what most people who are allergic to dairy react to.  

Are you sure you are really thin?  Are you in your BMI range?  Sometimes we lose weight so fast it frightens us.  We get used to being heavier.  

My hubby is on blood thinners.  I feed him leafy greens in moderation daily.  That way they can adjust his blood thinner accordingly.  We just eat too many greens for him to go completely green free!  Talk to your doctor about it.  We did some research on it, discussed with his doctors and it was the best choice for us.

Nut butters and sunflower butter are great and easy ways to load on the healthy fat calories and build up, I use them homemade seed butters, vegan protein powders, and protein chips, nut based cheeses galore. Unsure if you can have nuts, but sunflower butter (sunbutter) or Paleo Butter from Julian Bakery are hypoallergenic, the organic sunbutter in the green lid is unsalted and unsweetened, bit of getting used to...I love blending it in water and making sunbutter milk and using in shakes. Avocados are another great way to load on they healthy fats, and just plain nuts, although I find processing them into butters to make they much easier to digest.

      Understood. It's very anxiety-provoking when you don't know what you are dealing with and don't know if you are attacking it correctly.

      I have heard of NCGS, but everything is just so confusing!!! Just unsure of things as her EMA test was negative but TTG was positive @19u/ml(lab range 0.0-7.0).Apparently she also has occasional bubble like blisters in between her fingers, don’t know if that’s significant. She is triallling gluten free as suggested by the gastroenterologist after her endoscopy. Keep getting different answers when typing in her symptoms etc. Some sites say it can be possible to have coeliac, even with a negative EMA . It’s so frustrating and her anxiety levels are through the roof. I know she’s hoping it’s coeliac which is weird I know!!! But if it’s not it just means more tests. Sorry to ramble on!!!

      I ame looking for rice flakes that aren't cross contaminated to use in making oat free granola. Does anyone know of a brand? Also I see that some people just used puffed rice cereal, but it seems like that wouldn't be sturdy enough to withstand the mixing without crumbling. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

      There isn't because there is currently no gluten-free labeling requirement for prescription medications. You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/

      Since they make not "gluten-free" claim on their site: https://purito.com/product/new-oat-in-calming-gel-cream/ I'd treat this as though it contains small amounts to gluten, but I just want to mention that skin contact with gluten isn't an issue for the vast majority of celiacs.
