Thank you Carla,

Yeah I use 8 cups of coffee and 1 tablespoon per cup. That's what Dr. M says too do. Anyone here live in an apartment?

lsia

:o :o :o I think that's too much coffee!!!!

I live in a house.

Tomorrow I will start yoga classes. Anyone benefit from this? BTW what is airhunger?

CarlaB Enthusiast

Air hunger is when you can't get your breath. As much as you try to breath, you feel you can't get a satisfying breath. It's not just when exerting yourself, rather sometimes just when sitting down ... I'd have it a lot when I'd try to go to sleep.

Lisa I do yoga and I absolutely love it :D

I've been doing it for 3 years or so and have reaped so many benefits from the practice. There is an amazing mind body connection, it is centering and grounding, it has helped me focus, relax, breathe better, along with improving strength (mental and physical) and flexibility.

tabasco32 Apprentice

Cool Carla and Juliem I can't wait to start classes. I have seen yoga magazines at stores and stuff. There some pretty cool tricks in there.

Lisa, I tried yoga many times. With my back/spinal/disc problems, it never worked for me. It was too hard. I am doing weights at the gym now and I find it A LOT easier than the gym! ;) I like it way more than yoga, but lots of people think I'm crazy (not too shocking)! LOL!

Julie - That's right! Flannel...thats what I was trying to think of :P

Kassandra,

I don't know what is making her anemic. She is gluten and dairy free 99% of the time. My thoughts were that the metals were displacing good minerals. I know lead displaces iron.

After her short chelation this summer she required less iron - going by symptoms.

But, I did a bunch of research and there is high amounts of lead in schools due to the old pipes and I wouldn't be surprised if she is getting it in the school water. I am going to sneak in and get it tested. It's only $28.00 to do it.

CarlaB Enthusiast

April, I send my kids to school with water from home. :) It's still not ideal as they're drinking out of plastic bottles, but it's still better than the tap water at school.

They all have reusable bottles that they wash.

:o :o :o I think that's too much coffee!!!!

I use 1/4 C coffee (4 Tablespoons) and 1-2 quarts of water, so I agree that seems like a lot of coffee. I'd cut back and see if it is better.

Sometimes it is pretty yucky, Lisa, it is worse the more symptoms I have. I do get tingliness afterwards sometimes kind of all over, but usually in my face, sometimes a little weakness or a wiped out sensation. Again it is when I seem to be the most toxic. I just suggest drinking water, and resting for 30 minutes or so if you feel bad. When I get up again I usually am feeling much brighter and clearer. It always helps my symptoms but when I am more toxic I'll have that initial reaction afterward.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry if it all doesn't seem to be expelled. Sometimes it is later, other times I think some of the water is absorbed. After all that is the major task of the large instestine.

I have trouble with it too. I was doing a very simple workout for awhile then discovered it was worsening my back and shoulder pain. I was really having trouble sleeping, and for a couple days was too busy and skipped. I was suddenly better--and finally figured out it was the yoga.

does candida wise have any connection to the sexual organs? TMI, but i've had the tip of my penis has felt dull for a while, and the hole feels kind of tight/inflamed...sometimes i get bad shooting pains through it too, or just some strange feelings....i hope it's just an infection, don't know what else it could be, but it's starting to cause some issues, not just discomfort...i heard though sometimes your immune can attack the strangest places...i know there's different kind of yeast infections, but can they be connected/are they similiar?

Carla, I finally went and got more fruit!!!  I got there right before Whole Foods closed! Whew! Then, I was hungry but just wanted a light snack (around 10pm) so I made a "tropical" smoothie. OMGsh...it was AMAZING! I don't know if you know what Jamba Juice is, but that's *exactly* what it tasted like!

Wayyyyy way better than the mixed berry blend from Trader Joe's! I am SO excited! I am going to try just mango tomorrow and see how I like that. The one tonight was a pre-made mix of strawberries, mango, peach and banana I think. Thought you would want to know.:lol:

Sherry-

Nausea is not a major issue for me its other digestive woes- I just seem to do bad with well......EVERYTHING!! I take a digestive enzyme and i am definitly better with it than without but i don't think it does enough. Thats why I am interested in the one you take.

So a 2 question

1- besides the nausea do you think it helps with other symptoms

2- do you notice any adverse effects from it?

thanks-

has the vertigo gone away?

I used to do the castor oil packs like you- but now I do the lazy woman's castor oil Pack(I made it up) I lather my belly with lots of it and then put a towl over it and then put my hot water bottle over it. I know the other methos is better but I am too lazy.

Andrea-

How are you feeling? How are the kids?

Where/s Rachel been?

Lisa-

that is alot of coffee- I can't do coffee enemas I just do hot water ones.

My colon therapist does use Chlorophyll implants though and those help me alot with gas build up.

This is a good point. I drink a LOT of water! Maybe you're not drinking enough if it doesn't seem that all the coffee is coming out.

LOL RPM, I didn't know you were a guy.

Men can get yeast infections, too. When they treat women for yeast infections they tell them that they can be passed back and forth if the men aren't treated too.

I don't really know what they symptoms are for a man .... I've never been prone to having yeast infections, and neither has my husband.

quick drive by.

A couple of questions and sorry if they have already been discussed.

Do any of you get an ache in your heart? Mine has been aching on and off for several months now, but just recently been constant. My left arm is definitly weaker, feels somewhat sore. My left fingertips are colder than the right. Left front side of my neck is sorer than my right. It hurts worse when I try to take a deep breath, get stressed or move suddenly. Could this just be muscle related?

Second question... Do any of you do or like cold laser therapy? What's your experiences?

Third... How much would you say it costs to operate a home sauna for say a 10 min session. For both the wood versions and the portable one? Do you notice your electric bill going through the roof?

Thanks for letting me pop in. I can't read too much d/t cognitive issues.

RPM,

I didn't know you were a guy either !! Anyway, yes you can get candida the same as a woman does. If you do have candida this could explain why you are having such a hard time right now, for the candida produce A LOT of toxins and can impair your detox organs.

PLUS if that truely was an Iodine solution they injected you with, iodine destroys candida as well as detoxing some metals.

Do you have any probiotics you could take?

Hi Mia,

Well, I think it helps with digesting stuff, maybe with gas and bloating. I notice it the most helping iwth nausea--probably because it helps things digest. Maybe helps with quality of stool--less undigested food?? Although I may be far enough along on GFCFSF that I am digesting better. Just did labs so we will see.

There is definitely a difference in strengths. There is prescription one that is half the strength of the one I am using, and I can use 1-2 of my current ones per meal. I'd think it would be good to check the strength of what you are taking.

I don't notice any side effects from taking more. I forgot to take an extra one yesterday, I'll try today.

mftnchn Explorer

RPM, LOL--I think I just assumed you were a woman because most of us here are...glad you have been brave enough to join in. Maybe Tom had it figured out...?

I assume you have eliminated other STD's as a cause of your symptoms?

mftnchn Explorer

Laurie, nice to see you. Can't help with your questions though.

AndreaB Contributor

rpm,

I don't know how yeast infections would affect guys. It could be that, also could be toxin buildup. I know for my daughter and I on our ASYRA testing came up with prostate as a toxic focus point. Since women don't have prostate glands I would assume it's just the general area where the prostate would be.

Sorry I can't be of more help. :(

Mia,

I'm find and so are the children. Still trying to decide about the new supplements our Dr wants us to switch to. I'm thinking, even with the contamination risk, that it would be better for us to remain on the fish oil......we just can't double the money going into that.......we're having a hard enough time eating properly, which I believe is another cause of my discomfort. We barely have veggies (1-2 servings a day) and I barely have fruit.

It's hard to justify spending money on supp's when you need to eat! Most the supp's go on credit and we are also trying to only use one card so we can work the others down.

I got bad heart symptoms with babesia .... I thought I was having a heart attack they got so bad .... left side would go numb.

Second question... Do any of you do or like cold laser therapy? What's your experiences?

I have a green laser. I can't pinpoint which benefits are coming from it, or from the other things I'm doing. Go to Lymenet under medical questions. There is a green laser thread there that I started.

I have no idea, LOL. We did not notice a difference in our bills, not to say there was not one ..... I use it 30 minutes per day and let it warm up first ... so most days it's on for an hour ... or more if someone else uses it.

I have a three person Sunlight Sauna. www.sunlightsaunas.com

April, you mentioned you had a bad reaction to a castor oil pack, what symptoms did you experience?

Is your daughter's leg pain any better?

does candida wise have any connection to the sexual organs?

Candida can effect both men and women, like Carla said it can be passed back and forth between partners.

Sounds like going in and having it checked out would be a good idea, just to rule any infections out.

I was much better yesterday, but today I am a little dizzy again :(

Hi Laurie,

Sorry you are experiencing the pain and other symptoms you describe here. I don't really have any answers, it could be any number of things.

I have a Helath Mate sauna and there were little changes in the bills, it's designed to be energy efficient. Here is a quote from the website in the FAQs:

How much electricity do your saunas consume?

Health Mate sauna units are designed to heat the entire room up to 170

Julie,

It seems to be better this week, although I tried to do a stretch on my fitness ball yesterday and it did hurt...had to reposition myself. I haven't had as much of that breath-stealing searing pain.

I'm very sad to think it might be coffee :( but happy that it's probably NOT cancer. :P

I'm going to try one more experiment...I'm going to try a little decaf for a week or two and see if it's the caffeine or coffee in general. I have to say that coffee in general tested badly for me in BioSET, but I've supposedly been desensitized to it, lol. Caffeine also tested badly I believe. Well, most things tested badly.

Hey @Butch68, I also have dermatitis herpetiformis but don't suffer from it anymore. I used to drink Guinness too but I drink Cider now when out on social occasions. I assume you are in Ireland or the UK. If it's any good to you ... 9 White Deer based in Cork brew a range of gluten-free products including a gluten-free Stout. I'm not sure if they are certified though. https://www.9whitedeer.ie/ I haven't come across any certified gluten-free stouts this side of the pond.
    • Scott Adams
This is a very common question, and the most important thing to know is that no, Guinness is not considered safe for individuals with coeliac disease. While it's fascinating to hear anecdotes from other coeliacs who can drink it without immediate issues, this is a risky exception rather than the rule. The core issue is that Guinness is brewed from barley, which contains gluten, and the standard brewing process does not remove the gluten protein to a level safe for coeliacs (below 20ppm). For someone like you who experiences dermatitis herpetiformis, the reaction is particularly significant. DH is triggered by gluten ingestion, even without immediate gastrointestinal symptoms. So, while you may not feel an instant stomach upset, drinking a gluten-containing beer like Guinness could very well provoke a flare-up of your skin condition days later. It would be a gamble with a potentially uncomfortable and long-lasting consequence. Fortunately, there are excellent, certified gluten-free stouts available now that can provide a safe and satisfying alternative without the risk.
    • MogwaiStripe
Interestingly, this thought occurred to me last night. I did find that there are studies investigating whether vitamin D deficiency can actually trigger celiac disease.  Source: National Institutes of Health https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7231074/
    • Butch68
Before being diagnosed coeliac I used to love Guinness. Being made from barley it should be something a coeliac shouldn’t drink. But taking to another coeliac and they can drink it with no ill effects and have heard of others who can drink it too.  is this everyone’s experience?  Can I drink it?  I get dermatitis herpetiformis and don’t get instant reactions to gluten so can’t try it to see for myself.
    • trents
NCGS does not cause damage to the small bowel villi so, if indeed you were not skimping on gluten when you had the antibody blood testing done, it is likely you have celiac disease.
