I love it!! Llamas have the most adorable faces! There used to be one at a farm not far from our house in NJ.

Ok, so if anyone denies us needful meds, we'll sic Patti on their ass!

I'll be forced to open a can of wup-ass on em!

Turns out she was more concerned about the Prednisone than the Vicodin because of my blood pressure. She checked my bp again, and it's still really high- stroke level. So first thing, she's decided to put me on BP meds- a diuretic for now, just as Patti predicted. It's one of the meds she put my mom on. I think she (the doc) is thinking a lot of this might be hereditary, but pushed me again to quit smoking. <--- scared face.

Gawd Sarah....so much going on at once. Hopefully, the diuretic will do the trick. Really watch the salt, too. That helped me a lot when I finally actually did it.

I do ,not own llamas, but, i REALLY WANT to own one someday! if only llamas were more acepted in the world. I dream of a world wherre llamas run wild and free through grassy plains and drink from crystal clear streams and all the llamas are happy and free!!!

Hi llama lady!

I had something funny happen yesterday. I went shopping with my mom and when we got to the mall we parked beside this large tree that shaded the parking spot, thinking it would keep the car cooler while we shopped. So we shopped and then returned to the car and drove off......before we were out of the parking lot we heard this really LOUD screeching, like maybe we had ran over something. So we stopped and looked back, nothing to be seen, then we drove back around retracing our tracks, and still nothing. We kept hearing the sound as we started and stopped .

So then we thought, hmm, maybe something fell down from the car and we are dragging it. So we stop and get out of the car and walked around looking at all sides......nothing. So by now we look CRAZY, driving in circles around the parking lot, starting and stopping and starting and stopping, getting out of the car and walking around the car. So we get back in and drive off to Target across the street, still hearing the screeching sound.

Then we decide, maybe it's an animal that got under the car and up into something somehow? . Now we are both out of the car looking down under the car and all around the wheels, and yet again nothing. We were completely perplexed. We go into Target talking the entire time about what in the heck the noise could be coming from, all the way through checking out As we are walking back out to the car I spot something on the roof, when we get closer we see that there is a tree branch on top of the car, it must have fallen from the tree we parked under at the mall

We could not stop laughing, the things we were imagining....running over some one in the parking lot, the car falling apart and dragging behind, or a maimed squirrel that had crawled up into the wheels.....and it was just a wee tree branch.

Yes, and apes can get hemmorroids (true!)....once again, nothing to further your llama knowledge... .. I'm afraid I just don't know too much about these lovely creatures. But you know something... ...there could very well be a predisposition to gluten intolerance within llamas. The wonky gene that generates celiac is also the gene that causes long eyelashes (again, true). The majority of llamas we see have gorgeous, long lashes....ergo.... . .. .

Hmmmm....I think maybe llamas look tired a lot of the time, as well. And kind of....sad....perhaps depressed, even. They seem like they cannot concentrate, at times... . ..

I think they very well could be fellow sufferers............

Thanks for all the kind words about our wedding picture! I put a front view up. I know it looks kind of cheesy and posed but it actually wasn't posed. Our photographer (a friend of ours) snapped it during the ceremony while our attendants were signing the registry.

Ditto! Very enjoyable to read about. I am extremely blessed with my grandpa. He's taught me so many things. Despite losing his wife and only child prematurely, he has always modeled living with joyfulness, thankfulness, and a zest for life. I hope I can be like him!

Well- I went to the hospital and it turns out I have chemical burns under my dressing because of the reaction between alcohol and betadine they use to sanitize it when they change it. It hurts like heck but looks like it will be OK- next 24-48 hours will tell! Thanks y'all.

Yes- Patti has the nurturing side of a mom with the tenacity and protection of a bull dog! She's the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:huh: I'm not IN Phx anymo'. I think 84 forecast here today, but it's only 78. That flirtin' w/ 100F was quite the anomoly for SJ. (Not for Phrez, I see)

And like soughsie says, you don't want 100+ for months. I know *I* won't miss Phx's 115+ days.

You can truly feel the 'radiation pressure' of the sun pounding you, and that temp is in the shade, and there ain't much shade. Even at only 110, it's gotta be over 130 in the sun.
