This is terrific. . . . . ...but I cannot stop hearing it completely differently. I hear a strong stress on the first syllable, with a typical, gunshot-type English pronunciation - - NO lilt, just a fade into schwa. . .....

Sorry I been away ever'body. Went to Maine for three days with my Mum, relaxed and walked on the beach. It were totally wunnerful. Her cousins have a cabin, it's so quiet and you can see so many stars at night.

I'm still stuck on barkbark obama. SNORT.

I watched that and thought the lady was crazy, nobody freaks out like that at the doggie butt scoot! The doggie butt scoot is too cute!!!

Had, again, champagne and wine.... . . was out for a very special hoity-toity fundraiser dinner/silent auction/fashion show for the Pediatric Liver Foundaton...gad, I was outta my league. DD has about 320 friends. It is ludicrous, really - - most are kids in grade twelve who she passes in the hallway, or cousins of friends whose names she punches in.

OMG. . . . . I was dared to request a friendship with a male name that I had to just arbitrarily think up. So, I thought up "Russel Smythe", punched him in, and there were several. I picked the Canadian Russel, and sent the friend request. Incredible, but he accepted.

So, now I know when Russ is heading out to play hockey, when he's taking back his library books, how his afternoon home from work is going. . . . ..... :huh::lol:

Haven't sent him any drinks or hugs as yet, nor have I poked nor smacked him... ..

Think you should all ask to be his friend, as well. :lol:

      Welcome to the celiac.com communiuty, @Matthias! Yes, we have been aware that this can be an issue with mushrooms but as long as they are rinsed thoroughly it should not be a problem since the mushrooms don't actually incorporate the gluten into their cellular structure. For the same reason, one needs to be careful when buying aged cheeses and products containing yeast because of the fact that they are sometimes cultured on gluten-containing substrate.

      The one kind of food I had been buying and eating without any worry for hidden gluten were unprocessed veggies. Well, yesterday I discovered yet another pitfall: cultivated mushrooms. I tried some new ones, Shimeji to be precise (used in many asian soup and rice dishes). Later, at home, I was taking a closer look at the product: the mushrooms were growing from a visible layer of shredded cereals that had not been removed. After a quick web research I learned that these mushrooms are commonly cultivated on a cereal-based medium like wheat bran. I hope that info his helpful to someone.
