Typing special characters on laptops varies by machine, but there is some commonality. On my Think Pad, you must first set the numeric lock, which is found by holding shift and pressing ScrLk. Then, hold <alt> and type three digits using the numeric keypad overlaid on the keyboard:

789 = 789

UIO = 456

JKL = 123

M = 0

For example, 238 generates ε and 064 generates @. φ is 237; some characters with codes in the range 000 to 031 may not be possible depending on the machine and other settings.

G'Morning, Psills!

Hey! 4 - 2 Team USA! Mygawd, but youse Yanks are gonna win yet another gold, this time in hockey. A fantastic, smart team -- better than Canada's, methinks... .. . I really do hope that they meet again, though, in the medal round, as last night's was SUCH an exciting hockey game.

I want us all to ditch significant others and rent a HUGE boat for a week. The Psilly Cruise 2010. Don't even care what body of water we're on.

And Jess, we live only 3 hours apart and we've not met yet! We are still planning that trip to Victoria in May, so we will hafta make plans fo-sho!!

Just got back from the PCP. He was very nice. Agreed to run any test I had a good reason to run. As a result, I had to leave them about half a gallon of blood. Got to pee in a cup too!!! :P Gave me a copy of the path report from my endo - complete & utter destruction with lots of different cytosis. To heal in 7-10 like GI said is a miracle (not sure whose report he was looking at). Fortunately, my PCP said I didn't have to see him again unless we needed another procedure. He also said that a handfull of Fritos a day can't hurt. Like this guy.

Just a quick poop in as I am pooped! Disco party was hee-larious. Kurt was completely surprised. I boogied till I couldn't boogey no more and despite not drinking a drop (of alkeehol) I had a hangover yesterday (yeah-lyme does that). But worth every ounce of energy as phun was had by all.

For the record, I will cral in the back of Em's car or boat, luggage, go to Texass or OBX if I can! I'm teaching 2 courses this summer- June 1st through mid-Agust but after that hubby and I are aiming for Seattle/Vancouver. But we'll see- keeping fingers

OK, reality check time: Max and I at the grocery store, lady in her 80's barking order after order to her husband and she sounds just horribly mean!!!

Max says, "Mommy, did you see that lady over there?!"

I said, "Shhhhh, yes I saw her."

Max said, "She sounds JUST like you!! Do this, Do that, Come here, Move that, Pick this up.....Did you hear her, don't you think she sounds Just like you???!!!" :o :o

Mortification sets in. Now I feel like I'm gonna cry. I vow to be better from now on--I WILL NOT TURN INTO THAT LADY!!!!! :(

Yeah, Rai-schell.....it's also very possible that the gentleman was hard of hearing and she had to raise her voice to talk to him so it just seemed like she was yelling at him. :)

WIH???? It's after one in the afternoon here and no posts :unsure:

Had a doctor's appt this morning--and results from the labs taken last week. Dang liver enzymes are elevated again :angry: Doctor is majorly pissed because she couldn't find the pile of records I brought wif me last summer at me phirst appt......

On the positive side--get this--my total cholesterol plummeted from 305 to 212 :o In 9 months!!!!

Was almost late to my appt (glad I left here a wee bit early)....there was a bad accident involving a pick up truck and a tree on the winding road that's the only way I know of to get there--traffic was held up for over 20 minutes after I got there, who knows how long before that. Such a mess that they had to tow a car away before the ambulance could get out. Hope the person who was taken to the hospital is gonna be ok :(

And.........most importantly.......

Thanks everyone :) I've got the sugar-shakes now. Twill only be veggies for me for the rest of the day! :P DD's home puking her guts out, so hubby will NOT be baking anything for me....which is a good thing on many levels ;)

Well, the freezing rain has started.....we could get an inch or two of snow tonight <_< It was 70 freaking degrees Sunday.....

THIS, is completely unacceptable! It's a big tease, everything starts to bloom and then BAM! all the flowers, etc... are ruined! For the last 4 days here, it's been 60 in the afternoon and 32 overnight :blink:

      Hello I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.       Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet. I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now. He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs. A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-F...

The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

      Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
