Cake for everybody??

Sure, why not!

For the next 99 pages, I give you permission to kick anyone's arse who is not nice to me because I cry too easy these days and I cannae handle more meanies or stressers!!! And I'm usually covered in some sort of goo, so my robes don't need to be cleaned  I'm pretty easy

I was going to say, so glad it's Friday, but I remembered I have 30 flippin' cupcakes on my counter at home that I have to decorate tonight for a baby shower in the morning <_< If I wasn't concerned about how they'd turn out, I'd dive into my wodka stash ;)

Calgon, take me away!!

Make it a theme. Do them one at a time, keeping them in order, as you slug sip wodka. Note the changes over time... Kinda like a drunk icing test.

Does the crown not fit, your majesty? Is the train too long? - we can call the royal dressmakers. Is the sceptre too heavy??? Are the robes a bit grubby and smelly from Skeeter's vomitousness and need a bit of drycleaning??

Holy crap.... has no one dry-cleaned that robe since the yeti was all over it about a thousand reigns ago?? Or since the jester vomited drunkedly all over it? And wasn't it in my ho'tub at one point? Lord.. . . . don't think I'd be sporting it right now 'til it's well fumigated. Next it will be covered in medical goo, blood, sanitizer and rubbing alcohol, as Kween Rah-shyellle will likely be throwing it on as she heads into the hospital for her shifts.. . . . . . .....

I neeeeeed a break!

no, no NO, yer majesty......you are now our resident Monarch -- things just got a whole lot busier. You workin' on the updated Official Edicts yet?

Kinda like Jyesss's typing... . .. . . ...gets progressively funnnierr anht fuhnneieirr.... . . .

OMG.. . . . . . from the tops of the cupcakes, to the sides, to the countertops, to the front of the fridge and all appliances. . .. .......my kitchen would eventually be one enormous cake tier... . . ...

Don't fergit the from-unda-cheese. That robe neeeeeds some from-unda-cheese. I'm not sure if I shall leave this to yer imaginations or tell you whot it is. It is about the nastiness of the nasty.

Talk about nasty, but my bff is an ER charge nurse, and she has the unfortunate ability of diagnosing STD's by walking into a room and taking a sniff before doing a swab :o:lol:

The pic on my av is the robot guts. It doesn't look like a person - more like a coffee table with weird wheels. It can run sideways $ kick a soccer ball.

I have changed the spelling of rachelle to Rey Schell because I heard some where that "rey" means king in some language I do not speak. Could mean baker or mommy for all I know.

Still in the running here. Took some of the kids to an Italian place with gluten-free pasta. Yum! went again tonight!

Yes, Dear Bevel - - many of these over the next few days as we think of you!... . . . . .....-_- -_- -_-

What precisely IS that li'l emotiface supposed to convey? Is is Morpheus's face? He rather looks smug, like he's saying "Excuse me -- but I know it all. Just listen to these facts".... . ..

But there's a peaceful element there, too.. . . ...yes, he is praying. .... ...! :)

Oh me sweet Psillies! I am hopelessly behind- I went back and got the general gist.

Em- SO SO SO SO glad King Charles is OK! What a HUGE relief!

PadT's love story- tee hee!!!!!!

The best I could come up with is that, if he was destined to have only one year left to live, I'm very glad it was with me where he was loved and pampered, and not in a kennel or a shelter where he was just another box on a list.

Jess- Said so well

And Raychelle's story about Chuck.....my BIL's dog Cassie is in the same situation. But she was returned to a pet store 3 times before he "rescued" her......she is so lucky to have him!

JoDog- Hope she's OK.

@Scott Adams That's actually exactly what I ended up asking for— vodka tonic with Titos.  I saw on their website that Tito's is certified gluten-free (maybe many of the clear vodkas are, I don't know, I just happened to look up Tito's in advance). I should have actually specified the 'splash' though, because I think with the amount of tonic she put in there, it did still end up fairly sweet.  Anyway, I think I've almost got this drink order down!

Be interesting to see the effects of dairy reintroduction with gluten. As well as milk protein sensitivity in and of itself the casein part particularly has been shown to mimic gluten in about 50% of celiacs. Keep us posted!
    • deanna1ynne
She has been dairy free for six years, so she’d already been dairy free for two years at her last testing and was dairy free for the entire gluten challenge this year as well (that had positive results). However, now that we’re doing another biopsy in six weeks, we decided to do everything we can to try to “see” the effects, so we decided this past week to add back in dairy temporarily for breakfast (milk and cereal combo like you said).

Hi Christiana, Many thanks for your response.  Interestingly, I too cannot eat wheat in France without feeling effects (much less than in the US, but won't indulge nonetheless).  I also understand children are screened for celiac in Italy prior to starting their education. Wise idea as it seems my grandson has the beginning symptoms (several celiacs in his dad's family), but parents continue to think he's just being difficult.  Argh.  There's a test I took that diagnosed gluten sensitivity in 2014 via Entero Labs, and am planning on having done again.  Truth be told, I'm hoping it's the bromine/additives/preservatives as I miss breads and pastas terribly when home here in the states!  Be well and here's to our guts healing ❤️

Lol that’s so true! Hope you get clarity, it’s tough when there’s doubt. There’s so much known about celiac disease with all the scientific research that’s been done so far yet practically and clinically there’s also so much unknown, still. Out of curiosity what’s her dairy consumption like? Even compared to early years to now? Has that changed? Calcium is dependent in the mechanism of antigen presenting cells in the gut. High calcium foods with gluten grains can initiate inflammation greater.  This is why breakfast cereals and milk combo long term can be a ticking time bomb for genetically susceptible celiacs (not a scientific statement by any means but my current personal opinion based on reasoning at present). Milk and wheat are the top culprits for food sensitivity. Especially in childhood. There are also patient cases of antibodies normalising in celiac children who had milk protein intolerance/ delayed type allergy. Some asymptomatic. There were a couple of cases of suspected celiacs that turned out to have milk protein intolerance that normalised antibodies on a gluten containing diet. Then there were others that only normalised antibodies once gluten and milk was eliminated. Milk kept the antibodies positive. Celiac disease is complicated to say the least.
