 Gawd Em, I don't remember......I think one of us came up with the hairbrained idea and Mark was more than happy to comply  Come to think of it--not one person in our little group thought it was odd to take a pic of just our boobs :P

I still have it, too--not sure if it's on this computer or the other one. I'll go see if I can find it. For the newbies B)

Are we about to have a boob contest, too? We never did decide who won the foot contest. I had insisted that the foot contest be a 'naked foot' contest, I don't think that's going to work with this one......

Last Night

Me: What's the pile of jeans doing on your floor?

Smackl: I think they're too small or sumptin.

Me: I want you to try each one of those on and make sure.

This morning

Me: Did you try on any of those jeans?

Smakl: Yeah, most of them don't fit and these were really hard to get all the way on.

Me (after noticing that the jeans fit perfectly): Were you just pulling them on without undoing the button?

Smackl: Yeah

Me: You know that most people actually put on their jeans before they button them.

Smackl (annoyed)

Me: You need to try on all those jeans again with the buttons and zippers undone before you put them on.

Smackl (annoyed and eyes rolling)

GAH!!!! BOYS!!!!

Lisa, when is that grand baby of yours due?

November first.....but I don't think she'll be waiting that long. She's been having mild contractions when they monitor her at her dr. appointments

Hey, everybody!

Brian and I have been trying to come up with costumes for a Halloween party that won't require spending money.

I think we've come up with something........

Misfit toys.........from the Rudolph Christmas cartoon.

Brian could wear Army camo (GI Joe).....and turn his prosthetic foot sideways or backwards!....tis absolutely hilarious!!!!

I could have an etch-a-sketch on me chest.....the knobs would be an improvement!........and fun to erase the screen  .....but I gotta find someone who has one I can borrow. Pigtails a-kilter....over-exaggerated doll makeup. Tights and a tu-tu would be cute, but don't have those

But we need other ideas to make us look like we are toys put together with other toys....

.....this is your mission, should you choose to accept it :P

Not that anyone cares, but I'm feeling better. Yall been runnin around shopping. eating, going to succor games, ect. I've been running, too. 2 the bathroom! Celiac sucks!

If anyone looked at my med records that wasn't allowed, I would Sue them. I once fired a relator - I hired her to sell my house and had to move out of state. She did a bad job.

Shivd my legs today. May cut my toenails tomorro. All this talk about boobs had made me think about the bod below the belt. I had a friend(?) who shaved her privates. She claimed it was hygenic, And, if I didn't, I was not "hygenic". I thaught she was wacko, wadda yous think?

We harvested a ton of potatoes today. And, I have not smoked for a week!!

In another life, I would be the leader of the Far Eastern Wolrd. I would create great whorls around the heads of all the other leaders, so that they wood think that they'e toenails were blue. When they were amazed and stupidphied by the fact that there feet were atrophying and soon to fall off, I wood redeem them, if they bent to my desire. And, what would my desire be?

Hi @Atl222 As @trents points out, there could be many reasons for this biopsy result.  I am interested to know, is your gastroenterologist concerned?  Also, are your blood tests showing steady improvement over the years? I remember when I had my last biopsy, several years after diagnosis, mine came back with with raised lymphocytes but no villous damage, too! In my own case, my consultant wasn't remotely concerned - in fact, he said I might still get this result even if all I ever did was eat nothing but rice and water.   My coeliac blood tests were still steadily improving, albeit slowly, which was reassuring.

Welcome to the celiac.com community, @Atl222! Yes, your increased lymphocytes could be in response to oats or it could possibly be cross contamination from gluten that is getting into your diet from some unexpected source but not enough to damage the villi. And I'm certain that increased lymphocytes can be caused by other things besides celiac disease or gluten/oats exposure. See attachment. But you might try eliminating oats to start with and possibly dairy for a few months and then seek another endoscopy/biopsy to see if there was a reduction in lymphocyte counts.

This is a solid, well-reasoned approach. You’re right that “koji” by itself doesn’t indicate gluten status, and the risk really does come down to which grain is used to culture it. The fact that you directly contacted Eden Foods and received a clear statement that their koji is made from rice only, with no wheat or barley, is meaningful due diligence—especially since Eden has a long-standing reputation for transparency. While the lack of gluten labeling can understandably give pause, manufacturer confirmation like this is often what people rely on for traditionally fermented products. As always, trusting your body after trying it is reasonable, but based on the information you gathered, your conclusion makes sense.

Seven months can still be early in celiac healing, especially if you were mostly asymptomatic to begin with—symptoms like low iron, vitamin D deficiency, nail changes, and hair issues often take much longer to improve because the gut needs time to recover before absorption normalizes. A tTG-IgA of 69 is not “low” in terms of immune activity, and it can take 12–24 months (sometimes longer) for antibodies and the intestinal lining to fully heal, particularly in teens and young adults. Eating gluten again to “test” things isn’t recommended and won’t give you clear answers—it’s far more likely to cause harm than clarity. Weight not changing is also very common in celiac and doesn’t rule anything out. Please know that your frustration and sadness matter; this adjustment is hard, and feeling stuck can really affect mental health. You deserve support, and if you can, reaching out to a GI dietitian or mental health professional familiar with chronic illness could really help you through this phase. This study indicates that a majority of celiacs don't recover until 5 years after diagnosis and starting a gluten-free diet: Mucosal recovery and mortality in adults with celiac disease after treatment with a gluten-free diet However, it's also possible that what the study really shows is the difficulty in maintaining a 100% gluten-free diet. I suspect that if you looked closely at the diets of those who did not recover within 2 years might be that their diets were not 100% gluten-free. Perhaps they ate out more often, or didn't understand all of the hidden ingredients where gluten can hide. Either way, it shows how difficult recovery from celiac disease can be for most people. According to this study: This article explores other causes of flattened villi:
