Okay, here is that amazing list: Rikki Tikki(50), mickey(65), Nanjee(51), vir(39), sabree.k(24), Mountainman(36), detox(27), celiacat35(40), Caitlin(17), justsc(51), Thx4noticingMe(39), Marcus(40), Jack's mom(31), Shaggy(40)

Happy Birthday to everybody!

Especially to Rikki Tikki, who is turning 50 (remember what Victor Hugo once said:"Forty is the old age of youth, but fifty is the youth of old age", therefore, enjoy your 'youth'!) Mickey, who is 65 years young, and celiacat35, Marcus and Shaggy, who are all 40 (well, too bad for you, the above quote applies to you as well :rolleyes:;) ).

I hope you all have a fantastic birthday!

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you
