Anyone Know Shampoos, Conditioners, Deoderant

I've been going gluten free for about 4 months with no real results. I'm wondering if maybe my shampoos and conditioners are the culprit or even my deoderant. Does anyone know for sure of brands that are gluten free or a place I can free this items gluten free. Also, I heard something the other day from someone about how you can't trust Hershey's brands when they say things are gluten free because they won't disclose for sure whether or not things like natural flavorings on teh label might have gluten. However, I also heard that Kraft will state on their labels when there is or isn't gluten in their products. Does anyone know if this is true. Because I have been staying clear from things that even have food colorings, caramel coloring, and natural flavorings because they might have gluten in them. If anyone has any answers please help. Also does anone know of any toothpastes that are safe?

I can answer a couple of your questions.

Crest toothpaste is fine. Check the labels but I haven't heard of any Crest that isn't ok.

Kraft is fine, they won't hide gluten so unless it says wheat, barley, etc., it doesn't contain it. You can trust their natural flavorings and everything else is ok. There is a list of companies that won't hide gluten. I do just read their labels and take them at face value. The only other issue even with those companies is if a product is manufactured on shared lines. If there isn't a statement like manufactured in a plant that contains ... I usually check the company's website to make sure cc isn't an issue. Hopefully, someone will post that list of companies, I don't have it handy.

I have been staying away from Hershey's because even though they supposedly disclose gluten, it seems like other people are having problems and their products are things I can live without.

I use Redken smooth down for shampoo and conditioner. I found a list online of words that cosmetic companies use to describe gluten. Most of them were obvious because they contained wheat in there somewhere. You could try googling it, but again I'm not sure where I found it.

I don't think you have to worry about deoderant unless you are using spray deoderant. I can't see how that could possibly get in your mouth, so you should be fine.

I know that suave and head and shoulders are gluten-free.

Dove is too but I'm guessing you don't want a woman's deoderant.

Crest is gluten-free.

Kraft is really good. If anything has gluten including the vinegar, modified food starch, even mustard flour should ever have gluten they will state it after the ingredient. If you don't see the words wheat, oat, rye, or barley on the label it is not in the product.

I called Hershey and got a really nice response. Things do change but not often.

Right now you can feel safe with

Chocolate Kisses

Mik chocolate Bars

Milk Bars with almonds

Jolly Rancher

Cocoa

Unsweetened and semi sweet chips

Semi sweet chocolate

Chocolate Syrup.

Hope this helps!

This is really helpful  I had not considered sugar alcohols or inulin as triggers. Thanks for the practical baking tips too color coding and baking G F first makes a lot of sense. Thiamax (TTFD) plus a B-complex, and if you want benfotiamine, the Life Extension formula covers that at ~100 mg.

High fiber can definitely cause sudden GI distress especially if it’s a new addition but accidental gluten exposure can feel similar. Keeping a simple food/symptom log and introducing new gluten-free foods one at a time can really help you spot the pattern. sorry a bit confused so I should take my B complex along with Objective Nutrients Thiamax for TTFD but what about a Benfotiamine to take. The Life extensions contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine together or im confusing myself. I am trying to see if I take Thiamax what should I take for Benfotiamine. Thanks EDITING after further research I see ones water soluble ones fat soluble. So I guess 100MG as you suggested of Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. and the Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     would work for me.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.
