I love Son of a Preacher Man! I married a MK/PK and would joke that we should have had that played at our wedding  . I did think Sanjaya sounded better, but I couldn't buy him as a bad boy.

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I almost couldn't believe when I saw Chris R, down at the bottom.

Even though Sanjaya did well last night, I too had a hard time seeing him as a bad guy! He is too soft spoken.

Guhlia Rising Star

We kind of like Sanjaya's performance last night. We watched them again tonight. Though we thought he should have gone home tonight, we didn't think he was horrible for once. Who knows. Maybe he'll come around after all.

We watched all the good performances (and Sanjaya) again tonight. Blake is just out of this world amazing. I really hope he wins this year.

Jo.R Contributor

I couldn't watch last night and just found out Chris was in the bottom two. There are quit few people who I thought should have been in his spot. I think he is better than Phil, Sanjaya, and Haley. Oh well, there is something wrong when Sanjaya has made it this far. I saw on a talk show this morning that the little girl crying was sort of a plant. The producers saw her at the rehearsals and asked if she would like to stay for the show, and then placed her where the camera's could see her, and Ryan could point her out.

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

The crying was fake...that is ridiculous.

I am not a Sanjaya fan but John is so we have battles in my house over him. I too was mad to see Chris on bottom. There were quite a few people that need to be there before him. He even had a good response from the judges Tuesday night.

I sometimes think it is fixed.

I've only had time to read the last couple of pages, so forgive me if this has already come up, but does anybody here actually phone in and vote? I'm in Canada, so I can't, but I sure would, just to pad the votes against Sanjaya...

I didn't think Sanjaya got good comments from the judges. I took their comments more as shocked that he didn't completely suck. Simon said it was intolerable. Randy just looked shocked and stuttered through his comments. I think he did okay Tuesday, not great, not Idol worthy, but okay. It was a big change from previous weeks. Haley was awesome this week, I thought. I was glad she wasn't in the bottom 2. I thought Chris R's performance was pretty bad. It didn't surprise me to see him in the bottom. He's just so boring. Just my opinion. I thought Stephanie was getting really boring too. I was kind of glad to see her go home. Yeah, it should have been Sanjaya, but... At least it was somebody else that I don't like watching.

Who do you guys think the final three will be? We're hoping for Blake, Jordin, and Melinda.

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I am looking at Blake, Gina, and Melinda

I was hoping for Lakisha, but she did not seem to do well this week.

I have to say this week was fun. They also seemed to have more fun this week with song choices. I felt Diana Ross was so limiting. There was something for everyone this week.

Blake was amazing!

Guhlia Rising Star

Blake is like SUPER amazing. I can't believe he's not already famous. Plus, he's really, really, really hot!!! I just kind of melt when he sings and dances. He'll make it no matter what happens to him in the show.

This week was an awesome week. I only disliked a few of the performances. I liked LaKisha's performance this week, I just didn't think it was wow. I don't think she's going to make it to the top, but ya never know. There's just something missing there, I don't know what it is. Did you notice Melinda's finally starting to gain some confidence? That's kind of nice. I thought Jordin was amazing this week. She's really talented. I can't believe she's only 17. Don has a thing for her.

Any clue what next week's theme will be? I love country week. It's such a fun week cuz some of those people just aren't cut out to sing country. It's interesting to see what songs they choose. I can't WAIT to see Blake on country week. That ought to be interesting!

Elye, yes, we vote when we have time. We can't always because of our little girl's bedtime, but when we can we vote for Blake and Melinda.

Jo.R Contributor

Final three? I like Gina's style, but I think she needs more training. Lakisha is good, but lacks a interesting stage persona. I also think Melinda is awesome, but I don't know if she will pull in the votes. My favorites is Blake and Jordin. They are both hugely talented, good looking, and have awesome stage presence. I don't vote. I can hardly stay awake until 10:00 pm to watch ( I have a kid who's internal wake up clock is 5:30am, and it adjusts it's self back to 5:30am when the time changes <_< ).

I think the final three will be Jordin, Blake, and Melinda. Melinda has a great voice but her acting like "little ol me?" everytime you compliment her is getting old. There's no question she sings good though. Jordin is funny when she tries to squash down when standing next to Ryan. :D I think Ryan gets annoyed with it. Blake would be my no. 1 choice. He's uniquely different then any male contestant that has gone this far in the completion. I think he's also liked by people who are older as well as the younger viewers.

Gail- I totally agree with you about Melinda, in the beginning it was cute and yes she was shocked but by now we are a few weeks in, she has to know she is talented. She has a great voice.

Blake is a cutie too! He has the cutest smile.

Jordin, Blake, & Melinda-------------Final three

Definitely the most talented of the top 10

I finally got around to watching AI this weekend. I really enjoyed this week much better than last week's show too. I also really liked LuLu. She seemed to really give the girls better critique than previous stars did. I thought Haley's song was cute, although she's not really a favorite. The crying girl with Sanjaya was ridiculous  I don't think he was a bad as other weeks, but he still should be gone! I actually fast forwarded through Stephanie and LaKisha after the first few bars of singing. I think that Jordin was my favorite girl. I really enjoyed all the guys songs and was surprised that Chris R. was on the bottom too. I think he has a great voice! I love what Blake did with his song! He was my favorite guy.

I also agree that the Melinda being shocked looked is getting old. It's starting to get on my nerves like Kelly Pickler did last season!!

Guhlia Rising Star

I thought Melinda looked much less surprised by the judges compliments this week than in previous weeks. I really like her style. She's so confidant when she's singing. Her voice gives me goose bumps.

Only ONE more day 'til Idol!!! :)

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

Idol is the only reason I look forward to the beginning of the week..Let me tell you I did not want to go back to work today...not after that nice weekend!

Guhlia Rising Star

How about that weather today?!?!?! It was spectacular outside today! My thermometer is reading 77 right now. It was very warm and wonderful. It's a shame Tori had school today. It would have been the perfect day to play outside all day long. We like to have picnics in the driveway. :)

So... Only an hour and a half until Idol! I can't wait to see what Blake does this week. I hope they put him towards the end every week. Otherwise I have nothing to keep me glued to my seat until the end. Black and Melinda. :)

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

Alright, what was with Sanjaya's hair...he is starting to take on a creepy look.

I really enjoyed Phil's performance tonight. Gina rocked, and Blake.....words just cannot top him! He is a cutie too.

I think Jordyn might be going....her outfit was horrid.

Guhlia Rising Star

Sanjaya... Well... There's just nothing I can say other than I HOPE HE'S GOING HOME THIS WEEK!!!

I actually didn't really like Blake's performance this week. It bored me. And I really like the Cure, but I just didn't like it. I mean, it was ok and I was glad he didn't beat box. I think that would have ruined that song. I just thought he could have done something else better.

Don and I both thought Gina stole the show tonight. Melinda was good, but Gina rocked out!!! She's really hot and cold though, I think, so that might hurt her with staying from week to week. Hopefully she'll stick around for a while though.

I didn't really like Jordin tonight, but I don't think she'll be going home. She's really an amazing singer and she's so cute and alive. I enjoy watching her from week to week. I would be really disappointed if she went home. You're right though Amanda, her outfit was awful tonight.

I actually think Chris R. might go home if Sanjaya doesn't. He bores me to tears. The end of his performance was good, but forgettable. I know, I know, I sound like Simon. I'd just sooner fast forward through his songs rather than watch them. I won't miss him when he leaves.

Phil was pretty good tonight. Much better than he has been. I still think he's kind of creepy though. I used to really like him, but not so much anymore.

I really liked blake, jordin and gina last night. Im really starting to get irritated with melinda, always having the surprised look with the judges, I really feel it has all been an act to look all innocent. I still like lakisha, but i dont think she will win the competition, but i bet she will have an record deal. I was laughing so hard at sanjayss hair, my 2 yr old looked at him and took off running last night lol. I had first thought his hair was in one of those banana clips from the 80's lol.

I think either Chris, samjaya or haley should go home. I think Hlaey tried to use her body to get votes, she always has the skimpiest outfits on.

Gina is a powerhouse! She always picks the right song for her taste too. I still enjoyed when she sang Evanscence. She brought down the house that night.

Confused-which Chris, there is Chris Sleigh with the big puffy hair and Chris Richardson. Which one do you mean?

My coworkers who also love Melinda are getting sick of the innocent look. She has to know she is good...standing there looking so stunned is getting old.

I used to like him as well, but last night didn't do anything for me. I hope Lakisha rebounds too, she was someone I really liked.

Guhlia Rising Star

Yeah, Chris S. has worn thin on me too. I used to be a huge fan, but now I just think he's kind of boring. There's something about his voice that irks me. I don't know what it is. Too bad, he cracks me up... Maybe he'll get a talk show or something. I'd watch.

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
