Hi all - I am new to this and need some of your thoughts.

I was recently diagnosed - and have been off all gluten - and my other allergenic foods, which is nearly everything, for about 1.5 weeks. Before then - i would have horrible constipation - even taking daily miralax, magnessium and natural laxatives. Now i have been scaling these back to get off - and am having horrible diarhhea. did anyone experience this?

yep! had chronic C for years, went gluten-free and now have D if I ingest gluten. in fact sometimes I get that wonderful C + D thing going....why? I haven't the foggiest notion; but it's safe to say you are not unique in that respect.

I would look for hidden sources of gluten, especially at the beginning it's easy to miss bits of gluten (also check your tolerance for dairy, it can cause either D or C, depending on your system)

I would say what you are experiencing is pretty common. It has happened to me a couple of times, I still get really bad D if I consume to much fat and not enough soluble fiber. Perhaps yours is caused by the same thing. Now, I tend to stick with peanut butter or nuts and avoid oils. I still have a lot of issues with fats but they just taste so good! I actually started taking enzymes and they have helped a lot. I'd recommend a good enzyme if you do find that you have issues with fats like myself.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
