Does vinegar make any other super sensitives sick? Ketchup really gets me. I think that the vinegar is from corn and I react to corn as badly as gluten.

Pickles and mustard make me sick too.

I get sick from vinegar and it is the gluten or whatever traces of the grains in it. The reaction is milder than that to grain distilled alcohol.

I know this may not apply to every vinegar but it looks like this common white vinegar is made from corn not wheat. So that may be your corn problem. You got me wondering what it was made from. :)

Saw this on the Heinz site:

What Makes Heinz

Crazy how corn is EVERYWHERE. I bought Heinz new HFCS free ketchup with real sugar. Too bad the vinegar is corn. No soda and now no ketchup..boy this is gonna be fun. :(

I have BBQ made with apple cider vinegar. Think the Heinz is made with the white? Likely, huh? You could make ketchup. I've seen recipes and some restauraunts say they have homemade ketchup.

I can't really speak to the science of vinegar to know if the parts of the corn are left in the vinegar. But, if a food bothers you, you shouldn't eat it. That I do know!

here's a recipe. It has apple vinegar and sugar. No corn anywhere in the area!

It makes me sick unless I make it myself.

The information I read about the production of vinegar indicated that microbes are added after the distillation process. Their composition is stated to be gluten free.

So...I guess you're saying that vinegar makes you ill, but it's not gluten related?

BTW - how do you make you own vinegar?..from a girl who makes cakes from a box.

Here's a link with instructions for making pineapple vinegar, a nice easy way to start for the beginner

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
