  1. I don't know what pancreas thing you are on. I tried one called Pancreatin. Someone told me they thought I should try it and stupidly I did, even though I didn't think that I had pancreas symptoms. That stuff made me sooo sick to my stomach! After taking it for a week, I had to stop. Then my stomach got a lot better.
  2. I can not have eggs or dairy so I wasn't able to eat any of the pre-made ones I've seen. I made my own version using the large shells meant for stuffing. The rice pasta shells. I boiled them until just al dente then stuffed them with mashed potatoes. I used peeled russet potatoes that I had boiled in salted water. Then when I mashed them, I mashed in...
  3. You might also have a virus. There is a stomach flu going around here.
  4. When my daughter was young, I made caramel corn. It's easy to make a big batch of it and I put it in individual bags so they could take it home if they wanted to and it would be free from cross contamination. Her class had mulitple food allergies so I needed something that was safe for all. Luckily the boy with the corn allergy wasn't in that class. He...
  5. I am sooo sick of turkey! We have been eating it as is but cut into small pieces and mixed with some boxed gluten-free gravy over some stuffing that is mostly mushrooms, celery and onion with a small amount of bread and some olive oil, Nucoa and turkey broth. We did like it for a while but both my daughter and I went on overkill I think and we'd both be...
  6. I am intolerant to any and all fish. Not sure what my symptoms are though since I only know this by testing. I just gave up all fish then.
  7. My daughter likes the Ener-G breads. Some are pretty low in carbs. Like the Flax, Corn and Lite Tapioca. The slices are pretty small though and it is best served toasted or at least warmed in the microwave.
  8. Yes. A lot of people get stuff like that wrong. When my daughter tested as intolerant not only to wheat but gluten, I remember the Dr. going off on me when I questioned him about the gluten thing. He told me that a lot of food has gluten in it, including corn. Which it does. But again, not the same gluten that people here have to avoid. Unless of course...
  9. Heh! The plus side was that prior to trying to gargle with it, I did need to throw up. I tried taking cider vinegar pills for a while for weight loss. Didn't help. But I do know of people who drink the stuff and say that it tastes good. I beg to differ.
  10. How could an IgG test say that it was celiac? My daughter and I have had this done. Twice she tested positive for gluten and wheat and once for spelt. But it never said anything about celiac and now wheat, gluten and spelt are not problems for her.
  11. Well, wasn't I just barking up the wrong tree? Yes! Yes I was. I kept having the feeling that I was putting two and two together and getting five. And indeed I was. The throat? Viral. Probably the same thing that my daughter had last week. The rest? Bladder infecion. Eek! I had no clue there. Yes, there was burning on urination at the start...
  12. Hmmm... I just ordered some Caprylic acid and something similar to ThreeLac but a lot less expensive. But according to ThreeLac it isn't effective.
  13. Well... I am going to the Dr. just as soon as I get home from the vet with the kitties. They only need a nail clip. But I think I have raging yeast everywhere. The symptoms are all adding up now. Started with itching all over, then read something online about some psoriasis being fungal in nature. And I've had a patch of it that wouldn't go away....
  14. Her website claims that she has a problem with gluten but I don't think it mentions celiac.
  15. I took one Diflucan pill. Just one. Made me sooo ill I would NEVER take it again. I don't remember if there was dizziness but I was extremely sick to my stomach and had a bad headache. Lemme to to ask a patient and see what side effects others report. Open Original Shared Link Yep. Severel report dizziness. Not sure about the Nystatin. There...
  16. An allergist can test you for whatever you think you need to be tested for.
  17. Interesting! My gastro told me I can only take Tylenol and I don't because when I have tried it in the past, it didn't do a danged thing. I do have psoriasis. Just not sure what makes it worse.
  18. Yes there are. But getting someone to do them can be tough and expensive. My mom, daughter and I all had the IgG food allergy (intolerance) tests done at two different naturopaths. I didn't like the one. Not only did he charge ove $2,000 for the testing but he also insisted that we buy some very expensive supplements from him, all of which we could buy...
  19. Oh dear. I had posted more than that. But it's not showing. I said that if it were me, I wouldn't take that trip. Because I wouldn't want to take the chance of getting sick on a bus.
  20. If I were you, I would pack a lot of stuff that you can eat. Like trail mix. You might have to make your own, customized to what you can eat. I managed to live for a few years eating little more than that and salad. Most fast food places will have salad that should be safe. Unless of course there is cross contamination. McDonalds would have hamburger...
  21. I don't have celiac. I don't have food allergies. But I have a lot of other allergies. I have OAS to some nuts. I have a lot of food intolerances. You could start with food allergy tests. Tell them not to test you for wheat. Tell them to test you for the other things. Is there egg in the Scharr crust? Egg gives me a reaction like you had. I can...
  22. My daughter and I have it. Mine is really mild and mostly not there. Hers can get really bad. I had read that it was related to dairy but she is no longer intolerant to dairy. So I dunno.
  23. That wouldn't help since they don't eat beef.
  24. Oh yeah. I got this too. My dad is in some sort of rehab and it is not the right place for him but that's another matter. We are waiting to get him into seniior assisted living...a family home but until then he is there because we can't do anything for him at home. He falls and he can't get up. Anyway... Because of this, the rest of my family decided...
  25. GERD can be caused by a variety of things. I have gastroparesis and that in and of itself can cause GERD. I don't usually find problems with the foods that I eat but I can not have any chocolate at all. Chocolate just kills me! My friend can not have any onions or peppers and neither can my mom. I know other people who can't have any form of tomato product...
