  2. Boy! This takes discipline! I'm too much of a sweet tooth and chocoholic to do this, but I admit it is a much healthier way to live. Good for you!

  7. I just checked my handy, dandy, gluten free pocket dictionary and they are SAFE in Canada. I would assume probably the US as well.
  8. Right on! We'll have to keep this thread just for you
  9. Yes, they are different here in Canada. The ingredient that is based on wheat in the US is NOT used here. There can still be a CC problem. I don't have a problem with them, but I go to a McDonalds that is aware of Celiac.
  10. I agree! You are in a perfect possition to let us know what happens in restaurants! We could appoint you the official CIA

    ARCHIVED Help

I notice you are from Canada .. Roger's icing sugar is gluten free as is Magic baking powder and baking soda is safe. Nature Path krispie rice is gluten free. Most ketchup is fine, especially Heinz. French fries may be and quite frequently are fried in the same oil as breaded chicken etc., so are not gluten free. Some of us do eat McDonald fries, but...

  15. It is a good idea though ... would be good if we could figure out how to do it as a group. But they must be getting the idea of just how many of us they help.
  16. Yup, me too. I always make a point of letting the "gluten free" ones know I'm happy I want them to continue to make it easy for us.
  17. You are perfectly right Rusla, I can remember discussing it when they were changing over. My brother-in-law grows the stuff, and we always referred to it as Rapeseed . Beautiful yellow fields of the stuff. They do try and convince us that it has become more refined though
  18. Canola is deffinately not made from soy. Anyway, I don't use very much Canola as it tends to bother me. I use either Olive oil or Grapeseed oil.
  19. Oh, I hope that works Let us know, I haven't got firefox
  20. Let us know as soon as you have results! Now I'd better get off here and make supper or hubby will be a little irritated
  21. Yes ... if you have been mostly Gluten Free the tests would likely be negative. You could try genetic testing and see if you carry the genes.
  22. Wow, that's great news Angie! As long as he is doing the biopsy, he might as well test several spots as it doesn't take any more prep time. Oh, and that pain ... A lot of Celiacs have a pain there. My doctor says it's because the illium is trapping larger particles of food than it should as we don't always break it down properly in the intestine....
  23. I just discovered something. Did I tell you that I love pushing buttons ? Anyway ... if you have the up-dated version of Internet Explorer ... got to the top bar, and find the 'page' button ... it's top right, click on that, click on zoom and click on 150% or higher if you want, then all the posts will be bigger for you.
  24. Even when I change my Avatar my little Sheba is always in it some where You are right, it is small type, although I expect the teenagers can read it just fine. Would be nice if we could jack it up just a bit more though.
  25. Wow, you have your hands full! First off, frequent bladder infections can be and often are caused by a short uretha (sp). Some females are just born with it and it can be inherited. I was having frequent bladder infections to the point where my doctor gave me antibiotics to keep in the fridge (we live out of town). Then he came up with the idea that Vitamin...
