  1. From the Silk website: Are Silk products okay for people with wheat and gluten allergies? There is no wheat, wheat gluten, rye, oats, barley or malt in Silk soymilk, Silk Live! soy yogurt or Silk Creamer. Those with severe allergies should always consult a doctor before introducing a new food.
  2. Slightly elevated liver enzymes is one of my reactions to gluten. It was actually what prompted having me tested for celiac disease. Could you be getting gluten in your diet somewhere?
  3. Did anybody watch Shark Tank last night on ABC and see the man who was proposing Soy-yer Dough! (A gluten-free scented play-doh)
  4. You are not alone. I am definitely impacted physiologically when I am glutened. I would have probably been diagnosed manic depressive before my diagnosis.
  5. My liver enzymes go up when I am glutened. That is one of the reasons I had to quit my last job - I worked in a health cafe and just having the constant gluten in the air was harming me. So check out accidental gluten places.
  6. I take Miralax when I get constipated. I have to rotate my diet or else I start getting constipated with things I am usually fine with.
  7. This is definitely a tender subject. I am a nursery director at my church and I make all our snacks gluten free. But I share the room and there is gluten used when I am not there. I have made it very clear to my staff of my problem and they are wonderful. Also I wipe down the child. It makes it really hard though with nieces and nephews. We try and...
  8. We must be about the same size. I am 5'2" as well and yes I do have frequent urination. I was on medication for awhile but it didn't help a whole lot and I like you believe my overweight (I lost 80 lbs in like 4 months - don't know how, I guess I just deflated) was from inflammation. Let me know what you find out.
  9. I am also 24 years old and I have not had a real period in over 5 years. They contributed it to hypothalamic dysfunction, however I am not sold on the idea. I was really overweight and then underweight, now I am on the low side of the weight scale, but I am healthy and eat right. I was on birth control for awhile, but it made me feel awful, so I quit taking...
  10. I LOVE KAY'S NATURALS!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I have worked with two Presbyterian churches to have gluten free communion arranged. If it is by intinction (dipping the bread) then I have a separate cup and rice crackers to dip and if it is served in the plates then I have a separate plate with my crackers that the elders bring to me. I would love to answer any questions that you have.
  12. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  13. Make sure you check the gluten free status of Midol, at one time it contained wheat. Hope you feel better soon!
  14. My hands are always cold and usually feet. I have Raynaud's Disease, so you might want to check into that, although there is nothing they can do about it. I also have low low normal thyroid. I usually have problems with vitamins, so I haven't really taken any additional B supplements. Glad to know I am not alone!
  15. I have had problems with all juices, but can eat the fruit fine. I think it has to do with a fiber issue.
  16. My church provides a separate cup and gluten free rice crackers for communion for those who can't have wheat. I have worked with two churches to set up gluten free communion and would love to talk to you about it if you have any questions.
  17. Check the label, I noticed online it says malt extract, I contacted the company to see if it was a typo or what their response was.
  18. Depending on how big it was, they do make a gluten free chocolate-caramel bite-size cookie, or it could just be a burnt cookie too.
  19. I have had amennorhea since I was 18 and I am 23 now. The doctors say it is hypothalamic dysfunction, which means in the short by brain doesn't work properly. I have been following the diet since I was 19 and no change. I also have osteopenia as well. Hope that the doctors find out something for you.
  20. I have a lot of problem with fats as well. I slowly am introducing them back.
  21. Just saw this over at gluten free post! Open Original Shared Link Corn Chex Gluten Free! I also know that General Mills has reformulated Strawberry Chex to take out the malt syrup and use molasses to make gluten free. Also Chocolate Lucky Charms is gluten free and Trix. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE LABELS BEFORE BUYING! WAY TO GO GENERAL MILLS...
  22. If you contact angel food they will send you the list of the coating, also the products are coming form allergyfreefoods.com. This is a wonderful ministry, I help out at my church almost every month and the products are wonderful!
  23. Maybe you could tell them some of your favorite products and that if they would like to get you a special item they could do that. I know how you are feeling, but I have found that if I tell them exactly what I want then everyone is happy and the gifts are well appreciated. It is so nice to have this problem and not the other way around though. ...
  24. I am dizzy daily and nauseous too. I have been for a few months now. Mentioned it yesterday to the doctor and he thought it might be inner ear. I guess something to look into.
