  3. my house is not gluten-free as i have a DH and 4 kids who are not diagnosed and to feed 6 people gluten-free would put us in the poor house, not to mention that their are some things they just dont like. breakfast and lunch i tend to eat seperately from everyone now as they are eating what i call "death pills for mommy" and their good with this, when i cook...
  4. we, we went on holidays to british columbia and as you can imagine traveling with 4 little kids means lots of stops to mcd's playlands so i thought that i would give it a go and had a 1/4 pounder with no bun and ff's and i was fine, now im also very sensitive to soy, so the burgers are reall beef, much to my amazment. so i have a little faith now in mcd...

  7. oh my gosh, when i had to do my gluten challenge (eat gluten again for a week after being off it for allmost 4 months and see how i feel) man did i have the heat flashes and sweats. im not sure what causes it but boy was i glad to get off the gluten and start to sleep again at night and not sweat through the day.
  8. is he really celiac though? or is this another fad hollywood diet, cause if its only a fad it wont last long, way to restrictive. i had a family member make a comment just after i found out that "wow what a great diet plan" figured he could loose the weight if he followed a celiac diet i just laughed at him (dont really like him) and said yup digestive...

  10. hey so i was looking on the net and it seems that celiac genes are the same ones that most people with rehumatoid arthritis have. its interesting when you look at the symptoms for RA. just when we havent had enough of a kick in the ass, (would i love a dounut some days)!!
  11. so im starting to think that im in the early stages of RA ugh, swollen fingers, ankles, knees, pain when they are swollen etc. so i was looking on the net and it seems that if you are DQ2 or DQ8 these are the genes for RA as well as celiac, RA is autoimmune as well so it makes sense. wondering how many others out there suffer wi th this as well. its interesting...

  19. HI, ive had cysts since my teens. would send me to the ER when they burst. the pill was a disaster for me only made the bleeding worse. i was better off the pill and so we have 4 kids but once that was done (having kids) i had my hysterectomy which i think is what made the celiac kick in but still worth it, if you have a tough time get in to the gyne guy...

  21. i would have left and gone elsewhere as i have yet to have a problem, i would phone and talk to the head manager, as allergies are becoming more of a problem i think that resteraunts are going to have to look at changing their policies if they want people to contiue eating there. im really sorry that you had to go through that though.
  22. hi there, negative blood work is really common, but a positive biopsy means you have celiac, no and if or buts about it!! make sure that none of your vitamins or medication you are taking have gluten, not to mention your food and beverages, and cross contamination is a huge factor, so you need your own toaster and bakeware. also sometimes you can have other...
