  1. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Yep, I've heard that one too!
  2. I personally developed all my symptoms directly after a particular emotional trigger, an event that caused extreme emotional stress, when I was 19. Literally less than 72 hours later my symptoms started. It's like any other autoimmune disease, it can be 'triggered' at any time, whether that's before birth or on your 80th birthday.
  3. No, I don't think that if someone breaks into my house and stubs their toe on the way out with MY STUFF then they should be able to sue me! I'll try to avoid 'posting impaired' in the future lolz....
  4. I'm apparently visually challenged, I thought it said 'illegal'. That's what I get for posting on no sleep
  5. See, I tried the vinegar thing and the smell WOULD NOT QUIT. I have waist length, very soft, slightly wavy fine hair, but I have LOTS of it, just a stupid pile of hair on my head. Even two days later my hair still smelled like vinegar, to the point where it nauseated me. Am I doing something wrong? I'd LOVE to go no-poo, and would happily just hat my head...
  6. Given how many reports I've seen of people suing-and winning!- because they were hurt in the process of committing a crime, I wish EVERY state had this law!
  7. I think the pirate's pretty cute too
  8. I use a spot/stain pretreater from the brand Ecover, it comes in a little bottle with a brush applicator, it's some kind of enzyme treatment. I'd try that before shelling out for a shampooer rental, it's always gotten blood out of clothes for me, even ridiculous amounts.
  9. My personal experience with being underweight has been perhaps a bit unorthodox. I have found that the more junk food I eat, the more I lose weight. When I stick to 95% organic meats, veg, fruits, and dairy, I am able to maintain, and even gain a bit when I'm working out. If I overload on grains, sugar, things like ice cream, cookies and cake, I lose...
  10. The only thing I could think of that might affect you would be, what was the paper used for? I worked in an office where people ate at their desks all day long and put their grubby fingers all over the papers. I wouldn't imagine that a situation like that could lead to anything being airborne, but maybe paperwork from a bakery or something might have...
  11. My mother made a balsamic garlic chicken in the crockpot (fantastic) and shredded beet/carrot coleslaw. MMMMMMM......
  12. I know that one of the health food stores in my area still carries this, I want to say that the brand is Authentic Foods, but I'm not sure. Next time I'm there I'll look for the brand name so I can tell you guys for sure, then you can contact the company and see where they sell it or if they'll do mail order.
  13. Definitely no cat involved with the Celiac here, I've been terribly allergic since birth. As to the yeti, he's sore and creaky but moving better then before.
  14. Fire that doctor, and tell them why, too!
  15. I had a bad reaction to Cipro as well, turned red all over like a lobster and my doctor told me never to take a quinolone/flouro antibiotic again. Could be just the drug?
  16. Kiki, there have definitely been a number of discussions regarding this on this forum. I would recommend doing a search of the forum to read them and draw your own conclusions.
  17. Unless the coffee itself is no good for the original poster. Coffee is certainly acidic and is also a diuretic, the fact that cutting back on the coffee and drinking more water made you feel better argues that you may have been creating some chronic dehydration issues for yourself, Jyot. That does not mean coffee equals gluten.
  18. No need Loey- there's a Burton's Grill right IN Peabody. Anyone else familiar with how FREAKIN awesome Burton's Grill is?
  19. Um, I live in CT...... Can I come? Can I can I? PLEASE?????
  20. "Raise the villi, opening the receptors and allowing gluten to once again be absorbed by the body." Is it just me or is there SO MUCH wrong with this statement, scientifically?
  21. In the New England area, Burton's Grill is WAY beyond fantastic, with a dedicated fryer and honestly really good food. They're in CT/MA.
  22. Pretty sure you guys just talked me into going to see this tonight at our 6$ tuesday night theater.....
