I saw that before, and I agree, they are not 100% gluten free, but I've eaten them several times in a crunch.. and I've never reacted. I don't do it often, and I am aware i'm taking a risk. But so far, so good. Your Mileage may Vary!

ARCHIVED Clinique
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yay! Ok I just got off the phone with Clinique, They don't have the Comforting Cream Cleanser, or the Clarifiying Lotion (number 1) tested, but she will e-mail the Chemists and e-mail me with the information. The Super Balanced Makeup has Soy. The Dramatically Different Mosturizer has Corn. They also test for the presence of Rice. But... -
I think everyone should eat the pizza, let her get the whole bridal party and families sick, and let them all be miserable and running to the bathroom during the ceromony. Let the church fill with noxious food intolerance gas! Let everyone be sick and miserable and focused on themselves and ignore the bride and see how she likes it!

SunnyDyRain replied to Kottemamman's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yeah, that seems more than a small amount of Gluten... you should of had some veggies and stuff to keep things moving! -
I'm in a LTR so I'm not dating, but I have recently moved to a new area and i'm trying to get new friends. So I guess you could say i'm "dating for friends". I have similar problems, how do you talk about Celiac without going into too much detail, how do you choose restraunts without being bossy, how do I cancel cuz i'm sick without looking like a flake?...

ARCHIVED Clinique
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I think the place is called Global Customer Care or something like that, and I know the hours were something like the standard banking hours east coast. I didn't write all the details down, just the number. But the number is..... 1-866-707-2100 I hate when the companies don't post numbers... Grr. Bah -
ARCHIVED Philly Gluten Free Cooking Spree
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Publications & Publicity
I may be tempted to go also... now that it seems worth it.. espically with the drive. I would be worried about dairy also....so ingredients on cards would be nice. -
ARCHIVED Anyone Ever Cheat On This Diet?
SunnyDyRain replied to sillyyak's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I never cheat on gluten foods. I take risks - like eating things that were made in shared facilties, and i take risks with beauty products. I DO cheat on Casiens. Tonight I had one HALF a wing dipped in Blue cheese Dressing (it was gluten-free - I checked!). I now have D, but gosh damnit.. that wing was good! Well the other ones were good too... but that... -
ARCHIVED Clinique
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I went online to chat with a "consultant" and she gave me a number to call (there are no numbers on any bottle!). I got a number but have to call at work tomorrow *grrr* I jsut used the 3 step, it worked nice. -
Ok, So I read on here that Clinique has a book that lists what has what... so I went to the store. They had a book, but didn't say that these were gluten free... So read labels, and more labels, and then tried some stuff... I got a cleanser and a foundation. I got "Comforting Cream Cleanser" and "Super Balanced Make-up" I also go...

Like people said, MSG is gluten free, but for me it causes problems. I had beef jerky, no gluten, soy sauce, nothing... But MSG... had D for 2 Days! I'd say Soy Sauce is probally the culprit.

ARCHIVED Does Being A Parent Not Mean Anything To Some?
SunnyDyRain replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Heh. I'm Italian... Dumore Italian. I got connections... Tell me the strip club and he will be no more - Soprano Style. But seriously, she needs out. She is lucky to have your support as well as your family. She's still young, she can overcome anything! -
ARCHIVED Girlfriend Of Possible Celiac/gi
SunnyDyRain replied to I3Daniel's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I just want to remind everyone, while I know you love your boyfriends, and you want to speed along the recovery, if they want a daignosis, now is the time to get it, before you go gluten free. Once you start eating gluten free, the tests for Celiac get less effective. If you want to be tested later, you will need to do a gluten challenge, and no one ever... -
ARCHIVED Casiens - Revisted
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I have been using Silk Soy Milk in my coffee, it's ok, not perfect but passable. I may buy creamer for work though.. -
ARCHIVED Casiens - Revisted
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I haven't been tested, but I know I react to dairy, pretty much the same way as I react to gluten. I am goin out of my mind trying to do this. I keep getting caisen, even the "non dairy creamer" has dairy. I am trying to find Vegan stuff, but it's not good subtitutes. Every week or so I seem to slip up and am confirmed again, I still can't eat it. -
I am just handling This casien thing harder than gluten, I think it's because there is hope I one day will... I just want to know about your experinces, and if anyone has any info on villi damage due to casiens.

ARCHIVED Has Anyone Heard Of The New Enzyme Being Developed?
SunnyDyRain replied to metsfan11's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I agree, I have been interested in doing trials before, and It always came down to...what If i'm in the placebo group? If it does come through, I would prolly use this sparingly. Prolly pop one if I'm eating out, or a If I want some thing with a small amount of gluten. I probally would not have myself a big bowl of pasta. -

ARCHIVED Philly Gluten Free Cooking Spree
SunnyDyRain replied to SunnyDyRain's topic in Publications & Publicity
I do think it would be cool to see what they come up with... but 50 bucks? Perhaps they should let Celiacs in free? Also the idea that there are 10 doctors in the Philly Area that know about Celiac is Amazing! -
ARCHIVED Immodium Consquences
SunnyDyRain replied to alamaz's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have a question about immodium use... If gluten is bad for us, and it signals to our body to "get the heck out!" is it really safe to use a drug to make it stay in us longer? If we force our intestines to be subject to it longer... does it do more damage? I just worry about it... before dx'd I got to the point I took it before every meal! And... -
ARCHIVED New Girl With Questions
SunnyDyRain replied to MissCici's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Just a FYI, Soy Delcious is good brand of dairy free ice cream. It's not an exact match, but it's pretty good. It's been getting me though my bouts of "I need Ice Cream it's too HOT not to have Ice Cream!" Look for it in store with Organic/ Gluten free areas. Also not all Varieties are gluten free, but they have a list on thier web site what is and they... -
ARCHIVED Damn It. It 's My Last Week Of Finals For My Last Year Of My Mba Program
SunnyDyRain replied to GeoffCJ's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
*hugs* I remember in college I always felt like crap during finals. I see now because I lived on Pizza and pasta then because I didn't have time to cook anything. I always thought the "Carbs gives you energy" thing should work on me. I also drank alot of coffee.... I remember one year I did most of my studying in the bathroom -
I am sort of interested in attending this, but does anyone have any idea why it's so expensive? Do we get to eat the food? 50.00 bucks sounds really steep to go watch a bunch of people cook! Am I missing something? The link... Open Original Shared Link
