  1. Who wants to eat crudite and fruit at a party? Could you tell them she likes to have a special treat at parties and that's something you have to provide? She is only ten, after all. However you handle it, you are doing the right thing by protecting her health.
  2. There are some specific indictors for appendicitis. If you are having pain that doesn't go away, it would be best to see a doctor. There could be a multitude of things causing the pain. A ruptured appendix is a big deal. My husband was hospitalized for 10 day with one. I urge you to seek medical care today.
  3. The current thinking is leaning toward diagnosing with blood work only. Endoscopy can be a misleading in the early stages. From what I understand, a gluten-free diet is very beneficial to people with Crohn's anyway. I have a friend that follows it for that reason.
  4. Any chance you'd consider a bread machine? I make up my own mix and bag it. I do enough for at least five at a time. Making bread then becomes a no-brainer that doesn't heat my kitchen at all.   5. I like those giant ones as a pasta substitute. I use just the meaty part, not the seed cavity, and cut into strips. Saute these a bit of olive oil and some seasonings you like and top with sauce. It's sort of like spaghetti squash but has more bite to it. It looks like spaghetti as well.

  19. Strange, because that recipe for me turns out perfect every time for me. I do have a custom setting on my Zo that I cannot find this am! This will drive me crazy until I do.
