  1. I found this but cant guarantee it hasnt been changed so its best to check the label, it doesnt appear to contain natural flavors. Open Original Shared Link
  2. Thats it Im protesting Hershey's and telling my family members too. Mars company is better anyways. My family loves m-n-m's.
  3. Im sorry your having so many intolerances. Mine showed up about 1 1/2 years after going gluten free. I cannot eat meats, poultry, dairy, fish, oils, nuts, or seeds due to intestinal distress. I avoid beans and rice with other grains to avoid arthritis flair ups. Tomatoes and peppers along with onions seem to upset my stomach. I stick with potatoes, sweet...
  4. Unfortunately she is not being harsh she is dead on right. Im a 35 year old who has glaucoma, menieres disease, raynauds, epilepsy and neural damage because of undiagnosed celiac and I lost my gallbladder because of it. I was very healthy 10 years ago with none of these issues. Im lucky I dont have cancer yet since I have had cousins younger than me have...
  5. Mine looks better on my face than it has in years so I was shocked to find out it went into my eyes. I would see an opthalmologist to see if it is it and there are drops for about a week to put in. If left untreated it can lead to problems. If you do find out you have it, eyelid scrubs work wonders. I take burts bees baby soap and wash my eyelids with...
  6. Everyone seems to be sympathetic to me and my daughter. However, I hear very offensive jokes that actually mimic my lifestyle. Im a vegetarian (health reasons only) celiac who eats no oils nuts or seeds due to intolerances. They either think Im a health nut, anorexic, or "peta kook" (someone elses offensive words talking about a vegetarian friend at our...
  7. Do you have rosacea on your face? I found out through twitching that I had it in my eye and it was happening due to irritation. Sjogren's (Im not sure on the spelling was another option) was a possible option too but it ended up being ocular rosacea. It might not hurt to get it checked out and it never hurts to take extra b vitamins.
  8. Thanks Im going to try a 1/2 cup and maybe some walnuts too. The orange muffins sound very good, that will have to be my next batch.l
  9. Wow their french bread was wonderful! You have to order it three days ahead but it was worth it. The baker has celiac disease also. The food was pretty good. The rice was ok. I had the vegetarian dish and my husband had the chicken with rice. My daughter had the hamburger, its bunless so bring your own buns if you want it.
  10. I want to make the muffins, I have made them before and added some craisins. Now I want to make some banana muffins with my very ripe bananas but I dont know how many to add so I dont add too much and make it too soft but yet get a good flavor out of it. 1/2 cup? 1 cup? Thanks
  11. I dont have a recipe either, I wish I did. They are very good. Happy Birthday too
  12. I do it the same as ken and use it quite frequently.
  13. Cafe Gratitude vegan and gluten free for every item except their soy sauce so ask to leave it off and bring your own if you want. Little miss allergy- you should be able to eat here and just have them leave off oil and soy sauce
  14. Since you are in California, How about cafe gratitude? Its a vegan gluten free restaurant. They have them in San francisco, berkley, and one other city.
  15. Yolo- I agree there is much more to men dating than our looks alone. In the beginning though before you know a person you only have that to go on as you dont know them yet. Personality means alot but its not the first thing you observe, its only after you get to know a person that you like them for their values, morals and personality. Looks dont last long...
  16. amen to that Now if I had explosive diarrhea on a date especially a new relationship yeah that would have grossed out my husband but saying I couldnt eat gluten and being picky on foods and restaurants wouldnt have bothered him at all. He would have just seen me as a cheap date since we didnt go out to eat much We discussed this a few years ago...
  17. I hate chuck e cheese and my daughter always would get sick from visiting it even before gluten problems were visible. Usually colds or flus. That being said I would do what bev says. Celiac has a tendency to make you feel weird and odd as a kid especially if you dont know of others with the same intolerances and I try as hard as I can to make her feel normal...
  18. I have a few First you should see my freezer, many batches of messed up cookies and breads that have been chopped up into crumbs for desserts and breading. When I had been glutened early on after getting my diagnosis my brain fog was horrible and I couldnt hardly think straight. I was going to bake some chicken and turned on the oven. I forgot...
  19. I have used powdered sugar ( homemade with a good blender and arrowroot in place of the cornstarch 1 tablespoon to 2 tbsp of arrowroot for every cup of sugar since its a thickener and a binder it will help hold its shape and keep it from being runny) shortening (spectrum should be ok) and vanilla (there is one that is a commercial brand) a little tapioca...
  20. Im getting ready for a three day hospital stay myself. I have multiple intolerances and vegetarian so Im definitely cooking the food on my own. What I plan on doing is bringing a big cooler and loading it up with food. The ice does have to be replaced daily but a family member could bring it in for you. Vegetarian food wont spoil without refrigeration...
  21. I'll have to check out the articles. Im always interested on reading different theories. There was an article a while ago saying it was believed to be a parasite Open Original Shared Link
  22. Jennifer thanks Im so sorry you had an embolism how scary! His level is still off a bit and they are just testing it every day still. They told him so far till the end of August and we will see from there. What diet do they recommend? My dad is still very iron deficient even with his iron pills and they told him lots of steaks to help it. It doesnt...
  23. My way is morbid but it works for me I just think in my thoughts of how much healthier I will be than those eating gluten since so many people would benefit from it. Colon cancer and the many many other horrible illnesses they can keep and I will be nice and healthy in my old age.
  24. Welcome to the board How low fat are you talking? I follow a low fat vegan diet to keep my weight off and to prevent high cholesterol and heart disease, mcdougall diet (similar to Ornish but a bit different) mcdougall.com and vegiac.com are vegetarian websites.
