Lawry's Seasoned salt
Scott Adams replied to sandand's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've not heard anything negative about Lawry's, and McCormick does say that their purse spices are gluten-free, so maybe go with the McCormick brand. -
Since you have celiac disease you may also have DH, and if so you need to be very strict with your gluten-free diet. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful:

Best to wait because most damage would not visual, unless the damage was pretty bad. In any case, given your positive blood test results, to me it looks like your body is mounting an autoimmune reaction to gluten. Even if your biopsy ends up negative, you still may want to consider a gluten-free diet. As mentioned earlier, you may be in the NCGS area...

I agree, many people with celiac disease who are gluten-free for years go into something like remission, and have few, if any, symptoms when they accidently eat gluten. If you continue to eat gluten your symptoms will likely return pretty quickly, but it might take time for the damage to occur, just like it takes time for it to heal.

In general, "gluten-free" means gluten-free, and safe for those with celiac disease. Gluten-free products are NOT fortified with gluten up to 19ppm, as some people imply. If any company that labels their products gluten-free discovers 5ppm, or 10ppm in their foods, they will try to find out how it happened and eliminate the source because they do not want...

From the very limited research I did on Keurig cups on Amazon, the only ingredients listed in the plain coffee versions are "Coffee" so they are likely gluten-free and would not contaminate the machine. It's very nice of you to clean it for her though, and as mentioned by @trents, cleaning the machine is not too hard to do.

Biopsy results
Scott Adams replied to Olfy75's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
So if you've had two positive (your example is a very high positive result) for celiac disease, AND symptoms like low vitamin D and iron, AND the biopsy results that suggest possible celiac disease, then you most likely have celiac disease. Why your doctor does not want to diagnose it is a mystery to me, but the article below has more info about your blood... -

Thyroid Medicene
Scott Adams replied to Yvonne Ayers Albers's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I don't take thyroid meds or have a good answer to your question, however, you can search all prescription medications for their ingredients here, but you do need to know the manufacturer: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/ -
Biopsy results
Scott Adams replied to Olfy75's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Be sure to ask your doctor about this result, but CD3 lymphocytes are a type of immune cell that plays a role in the body's immune response. In the context of celiac disease, the presence of increased CD3 lymphocytes in the small intestine's lining is an indicator of inflammation, which is commonly associated with celiac disease. In some cases, individuals... -
Richin Trading Inc. of Alhambra, CA is recalling its 6 ounce and 12 ounce packages of Tim Heung Yuen brand black melon seed because they may contain undeclared soy and wheat. People who have allergies to soy and wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled products were distributed nationwide...

In this case I'd trust your dentist's opinion, and if they say that a root canal is an option I'd go with that.

Newbie! Pre Intestinal Biopsy
Scott Adams replied to JDG's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the IgA Levels/Deficiency Test (often called "Total IGA") because some people are naturally IGA deficient, and if this is the case, then certain blood tests... -
