  1. The articles we have on Glyphosate are summaries of published research. If there are any such articles on vaccines and celiac disease, we'll also summarize them, but until there is actual data that links the two, blind speculation like this isn't helpful to anyone.
  2. It's possible...but I've eaten Costco chicken for 20 years without issues. Their ingredients have never indicated any gluten, but accidents can happen. Perhaps there was a mistake made in their preparation area?
  3. Celiac.com 06/24/2023 - Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disorder that affects approximately 1 in 100 people worldwide. It is a condition in which the body's immune system reacts to gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye...
  4. I always take my own food on any trip, whether it is a train, plane or car. I advise all celiacs to do the same.
  5. Have you been keeping a food diary to record your reaction to various foods. A low histamine diet helps many people, and this article may be helpful, but above all, let your doctors know exactly what is going.
  6. What were the results of your previous endoscopy? Also, be sure not to go gluten-free until all testing for celiac disease is completed.
  7. I'm a strong believer that most people with celiac disease definitely need to be taking a good multi-vitamin/mineral formula, and some of my long-time symptoms like numbness and tingling in my toes only went away in the last few years, after I added magnesium citrate and other supplements. You can see my regimen here: Is there some research on vitamins...
  8. Neurological issues like you've had can definitely be one way that celiac disease can present in many people. I had severe neck issues due to muscle knots and spasms, along with tingling on the right side of my head. I also had numbness and tingling in my toes, as well as feelings of always being off balance and about to fall. If it is celiac disease or NCGS...
  9. I am concerned that you said you are spitting up blood… This is not a typical symptoms of celiac disease. Be sure to consult your doctor about this, as it could be something else separate from your celiac disease.
  10. I would also be very cautious about having an endoscopy done on a 4 year old, especially if you have a family history of reactions to anesthesia. If she's had a positive tTg test for celiac disease AND her symptoms have gone away after going gluten-free, the odds are very high that she has celiac disease, so the endoscopy may not be necessary. The article...
  11. Your symptoms definitely sound like they could come from untreated celiac disease, and if you had a high DGP blood test for celiac disease, and a brother with celiac disease, then the likelihood you have it is even higher--a recent Mayo Clinic study found 44% of first degree relative of celiacs also have it. Here is more info about blood test results...
  12. If you go to: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/ and search for "Losartan": https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/search.cfm?labeltype=all&query=Losartan and then click on the manufacturer "Aurobindo Pharm" https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=dc177d6c-c754-4379-8c2f-1cf6f52f950a and then scroll down...
  13. I don't believe that your son would necessarily have issues with dairy simply because you have celiac disease, but it might be possible. He has a ~44% chance of also having celiac disease, according to a recent Mayo Clinic study, so you need to be very careful when you first start feeding him gluten, but to me it seems like trying the dairy formula should...
  14. No, an allergen warning would need to include wheat if there were any possibility that wheat contamination could occur.
  15. The product is not labelled gluten-free, but is naturally gluten-free. There are no allergen warnings on the label that would indicate that wheat is a danger:
  16. It's not semantics, if you don't get your antibody levels checked you won't know if your autoimmune reaction is ongoing. A treatment that might mask the symptoms (my doctor gave me many of these) does not mean you are disease-free and that you won't suffer future consequences of not treating the root cause of it--in this case by going on a gluten-free diet...
  17. I'm sure you saw this, but in that article: So the odds are much in favor of you having celiac disease, and you could do more tests to determine this. The normal next step would be an endoscopy for celiac disease. Another approach would be trying the gluten-free diet for a few months to see if it helps with your symptoms, but then you might...
  18. My favorite fiber is prunes, so give them a try. A couple after each meal should help.
  19. This article explains the various test results. Do yo know if it was the DPG-IgA or DPG-IgG test?
  20. In general going by such a "gut test" is not recommended at all. Symptoms in celiacs can change over time, and many celiacs have no little or no symptoms. The only way to check out be using a celiac disease blood panel to see if the autoimmune reaction is ongoing:
  21. No, there is no link to childhood vaccination and the incidence of celiac disease. The reason you probably never got diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis is likely because you got this vaccine.
  22. For anyone interested, @dixonpete just posted a blog update on his hookworm treatment progress:
