    My youngest son I think had withdrawl. He became extremely moody and he wanted to eat constantly. It started to subside for him after about a week.     DS1 went gluten free August 29th. Hubby said if I wanted to do it he would be 100% supportive!! He is going to be gluten free until Christmas break in mid December.     My oldest son (10.5 yrs old) loves the Percy Jackson books and the Kane Chronicles. I decided to pick the first Percy Jackson book up and read a little bit. It was a good read! He didn't like the Harry Potter books though.

    I bloat and my abdomen gets so distended. I also have a lot of rumbling going on. Usually in 1-2 days the big D hits.

    I sympathize for you. I'm so not looking forward to this. My 10.5 yr old is currently undergoing a gluten free trial and my 6.5 year old is diagnosed. Hopefully things improve!! Keep your chin up!

    If you can do eggs you can bake with coconut flour. It is low carb and lots of fiber. I make banana muffins all the time out of it so it would be easy to make something with blueberries.

    From my understanding if glucose syrup is made from wheat it has to be declared on the lable. My son picked up some mentos and mentos gum the other day and it stated that glucose syrup(wheat) on the lable.

    This is just a streatch but do you get DH? From what I read on here iodine can flare that up. Just a thought since the contrast is iodine based.

    Hard to tell if it was the IV contrast, but not impossible. What has my intrest is the rash you had. As for the hives the following day, could those have been from the steriod pills they gave you? It still is a possibility that your reactions were from the IV contrast though.     You could be super sensitive and reacting to gluten free foods that most tolerate. There are some on here that deal with this and may have some suggestions. Do you eat gluten free oats? About 10% of celiacs have problems with pure oats causing the same issues as gluten. You also have to watch out for gluten free oat contamination in your gluten free foods...

    Did they have you drink anything for the scan too? Some of the oral ct scan contrast can have gluten. As for the IV contrast there is no gluten but it is iodine based.     I just contactd Blue Bell and they sent me two gluten free lists. Here is their contact number. The representative I spoke with sent me them via e-mail.     I've been known to eat a few too many M & M Mcflurries myself. As for Dairy queen my son and I will get the icecream in a cup, frozen slushy-like drinks, dilly bars or buster bars. Yum!

    I can't put my arms above my head for any lenght of time without them to start going numb. Last I knew all my vitamin/mineral levels are good. I do have three posterior osteophytes in my neck.
