  1. Hi JM! This happens to me -- but mine didn't come on suddenly -- for years I couldn't tolerate exercise in warm weather...it got worse and now I have had several anaphylactic episodes...one was triggered by Sunflower Seeds during an elimination trial diet and the others have had not exact source -- the last one took two epi pens en route to the hospital...
  2. So only three weeks -- I would eat at least one slice of glutenous bread per day -- maybe a grilled cheese every evening --- if you can have dairy It is important to give all the tests their best chance for accuracy and unfortunately as barbaric as it sounds --- that means ingesting gluten right up until the endoscopic biopsies are taken. Not all...
  3. Welcome Matty! It is great that your appt moved up. It does present a problem as you have already removed gluten. Which Celiac Disease Antibody tests were run? Were any nutrient blood tests run? Exactly how long have you been gluten-free and has it been strict? Most major Celiac Centers recommend 1/2 - two slices of glutenous bread per...
  4. hmmm will have to go find a good old cow here -- they used to roam in the hills nearby -- God I am old -- there are 30 year old houses there now! in santa barbara we did have cows over the back fence -- sadly those have moved a bit north last time i drove thru the old hood...to make room for mcmansions
  5. I agree. As gluten free as humanly possible in the world we live in. My NCGI children and grands can't tolerate any gluten -- exactly same reaction as their diagnosed Mom (me) and their sister. I believe if I had been tested earlier in life I would also be labeled NCGI as my antibodies were all mild/weak positive at 43 with symptoms dating back to...

    ARCHIVED Crusade

So sorry to hear this Addie They do go hand in hand -- I'll hold out hope that your friend will be found alive -- help is out there...it is just too flipping hard to find when one really needs it. 15. i just put a 9x12 pineapple upside down cake in the oven -- happy men circling the kitchen island The rest of dinner is Mexican as it is Cinco de Mayo!!! Crispy Carnitas Corn Tortillas -- usually let the hubby have flour with carnitas...but with Dad and Sis at the table -- well just too many glutenie fingers hanging about for my comfort. Homemade...
  16. Welcome Cargo!!! I'd take a list of symptoms published by the University of Chicago along with a list of complete celiac antibody tests/nutrient blood tests. If your receive any push back - perhaps point out that celiac disease is managed by the complete removal of gluten -- when compared with other medical protocols -- it is inexpensive for the...
  17. You can do it Shadow...isn't this the semester with over 20 units? So dinner got changed around while I was taking care of Mom -- Hubby didn't hear me when I laid out da plan. So the fresh bread I made in prep for French Onion Soup will keep until Monday for a redo. Good news is he defrosted stew meat (he did here the "we" need to defrost meat part...

    ARCHIVED IHOP

Hi Karen...I have not checked recently...but I do know IHOP has a history of adding pancake batter to their eggs to make them more fluffy...I don't see how any eggs cooked there would be safe if this is still their practice. Welcome to the forum....come on in and stay a while

Congratulations...
  20. Well it certainly sounds like you have an issue with gluten -- how long are you going to eat gluten for the challenge? Is this a challenge to have celiac antibody testing done? If so, make sure you have the complete panel along with key nutrient testing. For now...there is no need to overdo the gluten -- if you were improving after removing gluten ...
