I have the zorushi ( spelled wrong) and I love it. I use the Anna's bread mix, it's our favorite..You should be okay with the model your looking at: I see someone said it had a gluten-free setting. I think the motor has to be strong to mix the dough. Mine has two paddles and makes the typical loaf of bread. It does a great job of mixing....... mamaw

mamaw replied to chawk310's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Mart I really don't like corndogs but my kids gobbled them up.Truly I haven't found a great nugget either but so far I think Bell & Evans is about the same as S'Better Farms. No one at our house really cares for Ian's. The kids do eat Wellshire Kids nuggets. Carriefaith has a terrific recipe for C. nuggets. When I have time I make them and I too love... -

ARCHIVED Distilled Water A Big No-no
mamaw replied to BRUMI1968's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Reverse osmosis is what I have.I have the big polar bear that makes 5 gallon in a day. I drink about 50 oz's daily.Penta water is good. When I buy at costco or sam's I buy Deer Park. One thing to remember about making your own water is to NOT put it in plastic used jugs such as milk jugs. It should be kept in glass jugs. You should never reuse bottles (plastic... -

ARCHIVED Help...i'm Allergic To Everything! :p
mamaw replied to Natlay's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I would recommend finding a excellent practitioner in Bio-Set and treat those other allergies....I was a walking allergy billboard before I did this. Now I can eat just about anything I desire but of course it does NOT do anything for celiacs so no wheat for me....... If you want to know more you can pm me. mamaw -
We loved Ted's MOntana Grill while we were there. Also Sazon's corn arepas were great. Also if you want to take a hike to Doylestown Jules gluten-free pizza is terrific. I would drive there again for it.You can buy gluten-free items at Dietary Shoppe, she has a nice selection. Ruth Chris Steakhouse is pricey but good....All the above were knowledegable on...

ARCHIVED If You Had Hypoglycemia Did It Go Away After Being Gluten Free?
mamaw replied to Sarah8793's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Nope gluten free didn't help my blood sugar either....One thing is to be careful how much junk food you eat in a day. That has helped me somewhat. I don't hink I eat as much junk since going gluten-free and that's a good thing...... mamaw -

mamaw replied to BRUMI1968's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I have a home distiller for about twenty years now. One needs to take a good vit & min when using distilled water. I drink it every day as well as my pets and other family members. We have alway taken supplements. My hubby used to get very sick when he drank city water with flouride.... My pets have all lived to be 18/19 years old so I don't think it... -

mamaw replied to suziew's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Sorry your having trouble with your bread. I too Am not a good bread maker-- I can do most anything else well but for some reason yeast does not like me. I have gotten better but I think it just takes practice like a good pie crust. In my gluten days people used to beg me to make them a flaky pie crust. The only bread I make in my machine is Anna's mix and... -
Hi Lisa sorry your not feeling well. I agree with Tarnalberry on some of the things to check out. I get terrible migraines and some time I just put ice on my neck, head, and forehead until I freeze all over and then I down a box of popscicles. By this time I'm frozen or I too run freezing cold water on my neck . I don't respond to heat but ice helps me...

Canadian Karen I too feel such bitterness in this thread. I do believe everyone has the right of feedom of speech not everyone is going to agree or disagree. Plus when I don't care for a post I usually don't read it but this has made me very sad as I believe in my Lord & Saviour. I would have fallen by the way side years ago had I not had a belief. I...

Tinkyada makes gluten-free pasta noodles such as: spaghetti, lasagne, jumbo shells so you can use any favorite sauce and make anything your heart desire's. My family (not the gluten-free ones) eats this pasta and sometimes doesn't know the difference. Eggplant parmesan , chicken or zucchini parmesan is also great........ I use loads of garlic, onion .....
