  1. A diabetic specialist told my diabetic brother-in-law it was better to use a tiny bit of sugar than the fake replacements. I've heard to many bad things about splenda. You can do a search on it but I wouldn't use it. I think some use stevia and its okay. mamaw

  5. Lymetoo I'm Lutheran also!!!! What I have done in the past is use the wafers from Energ but I really think they are crappy tasting. I now just use my homemade bread cut in a small square wrap it in tin foil . Our pastor gets it from me before service begins and takes it to the altar with him & places it with the others but it is still wrapped tightly...

  12. Have you had a dermatologist look at your skin? My Dad was like that & he had psorasis. Plus I'm gluten intolerant and I itched like crazy before going gluten-free.I also got hives all the time.I felt like a dog with fleas!!!!!!I ended up taking Atarax so I didn't itch but now I don't have that problem unless wheat & gluten hunts me down!!! mamaw...

I didn't get double vision but I didn't know who or where I was and I couldn't speak but I knew everything that was happening around me---- I just couldn't move or speak, and was confused.   16. Someone I met at a gluten-free store just told me that on the box of the Manischevitz potato starch there is a recipe for an angel food cake that is wonderful. Fiddle-faddle where did you buy this at? I didn't want to run to Squirrel Hill & I can't find it at Butler or Cranberry? I ended up getting it while I was in Erie.... mamaw
  17. carriefaith shared a recipe for soft breadsticks that is so easy to make and they are terrific. I keep adding different things to it to change the end results. Kids love pepperoni and cheese plus some garlic & then they dip them in sauce. It reminds them of pizza hut breadsticks only softer. Anna's bread mix is the very best....and you may want to buy...
  18. Hello I think you should do bloodwork for celiac sprue.I'm gluten intolerant but my daughter and one of her children are full-blown celiac and the other child is like me intolerant. Also you could do the Dna testing since it appears your not sure of your family history. I think even grandparents didn't tell what illness' they had so alot of info is lost...
  19. thanks all for the relpy. I did look norvasc up in a drug book and it said wheat as a secondary or the filler part.Once I stopped the norvasc my pain stopped. So now I'm confused!!!!!!Usually when I get wheat or gluten before the sick issues I get terrible pain...... mamaw

  21. does anyone have a drug book that can tell me if there is any gluten in quinapril? It is used to treat high blood pressure. the dumb doctors had me on norvasc and it has wheat in it. I couldn't figure out where I was getting sick from as they told me it did not have wheat. So here I am with a new script and the same story--- nope no wheat or gluten, well...

  23. I have tried comfy cuisine and wasn't impressed at all. I had the eggplant parmesan which was fair but was watery. The other ones and the pizza we really disliked. I would not purchase them again. Glad to hear someone liked them...Their are four of us gluten-free and we all said the same thing but we ate them at different times so we we judged them it...

  25. I hate to sound like a broken record but I agree Foods by George Pizza is good. But I just ate my pizza I ordered from Everybody eats and it was terrific. I did dress it up with my favorite things as I ordered only cheese which is cheaper as I figure I can put my own things on it.IF anyone is interested I do know of a place that will ship Everybody Eats stuff...
