    The holter monitor is a good idea...has anyone ever checked your cortisol levels? Inner ear ? Blood sugar? I'm sure that their are hundreds of celiac that also would love a break from celiac...you are not alone.... I'm not a lover of synthroid .......would your doc prescribe another brand? I sure hope you get an answer...
  5. celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that never goes away...the only control over it's rath is a strict gluten-free lifestyle... If you are in doubt you have the disease since you stated you stopped being gluten-free around age 12 & now 19 have the celiac panel of blood work done now...Retest... I can tell you...

  7. Kitchen aide stand mixer should be fine. The little hand held ones set closer to ingredients & collect flour debris around the beaters so that is one reason I got a new one...Just take a look & see if you can see debris around the beaters....
  8. I use coffee K-Cups. I believe it is the flavored ones coffee & teas that one must be careful of as some flavored ones contain gluten.....Same with flavored tea bags.... Kissing: my mate always brushes his teeth before kissing me, he has very little gluten in his gut or mouth.... I think if one is sensitive it may present...
  9. Shade, that is wonderful you are now seeing a turn a round. I now it isn't perfect yet but heading in the right direction is great.. It is so kind of you to want to pass along your living knowledge of what it is like having an illness & not being able to get help on the gluten-free food.... many food banks have gluten...

  12. Hi Some people have a hard time digesting oats gluten-free or not. I'm celiac & I can only eat 1/2 cup of oats maybe twice a month....I never thought I'd ever miss oats! You can also try gluten-free oats from a certified gluten-free company instead of a mainstream company...it is hard to tell if a person is going to have issues...

Would she be willing to get tested before she tries gluten-free?We have an 89 year old dx'd a couple months ago....Her thought was why would doctors not check her years ago so maybe she could of had a more healthful life! And by the way your post back to me -- I totally agree so I guess you have me confused...I wasn't knocking anything...
  24. I think many celiac folks take digestive enzymes. Plus probiotics.... D-enzymes help break down the proteins carbs & such to help the body... I use DIgest Gold ...
