Gemini..... I hear you my hair is not red anymore!!!! I & daughter also had a thick head of hair until the thyroid issues... Mine is totally gone since 07....one of the worse things I ever let a doctor talk me into!!! Wrinkles are a sign of wisdom so let them alone!!! I am not of a darker complexion ( I wish I had some color)I'm very pale, blue eyed , red head...at times ghostly white! german decent..but we still got very long lashes& big eyes....maybe a fluke!!!! -

My acne came from rosacea , have you looked into that? Plus I have not had acne for years & years but did have it as an adult as well..... I wash my face in Nutribiotic for sensitive skin.. non-soap... I have not seen acne since using this product... Also in terms of the face : a little is a lot sometimes wearing nothing clears things up...I can not use... -

When one limits there gluten-free products to only products made in a dedicated facility it does limit the gluten-free choices. I do like or wish they all had dedicated machinery /processing but that just does not happen.... there are people who are super-sensitive who MUST do this.... -

Okay I just seen Scott( Admin) has posted links to discovering celiac disease & the last one is by a Philly doctor ( Dr. Verma) ... She states about testing for an infant.... you can read that.... not a lot of help but what studies have found.....

oops I forgot to mention IBS for Hubs, could it be that he has NCGS? glad the gluten-free diet is also helping him....no testing yet for NCGS just the elimination diet.... -
You should check with your insurance carrier first. They may not cover if the provider is out of your coverage. You then would have to pay out of pocket.... It does take time for a body to adjust & make changes to a diet change.. Some it is a quick turnover for others it can take several years.... We too have large eyes.....I do know many who have long lashes & big eyes whom happen to be celiac !!! Another one is men who have flat butts ...... it is funny because when I see any of these things I think they should be tested .. My head starts spinning...If I have a chance or reason to have conversation & find they have other issues I do mention... -

I too have heard this in children.... from what I have read through the early years some doctors told people that...like twenty years ago. Have no idea if it was a thing all doctors looked out for but for sure some did. Remember twenty years ago was a lifetime ago when it comes to undiagnosed celiac so they truly knew little about celiac.. The researchers... -

I too agree with the others... The owner of the house is the king of the castle... IF you actually lived with them I would say that is a different elephant in the room.... Plus I will say many people with celiac live with a shared kitchen.. The many restrictions are followed but again they reside in the same quarters... -

women's mega food plus just google , you will find many... if you are new to this disease it maybe just the body fighting back with the new changes.....the body doesn't always easily accept change....it takes a lot of time ... -
You can vent anytime, we all have been there...I will make a suggestion ... you are very new to the gluten-free lifestyle.... your body hasn't got to a healing point but it will. While this process is an ongoing one I suggest trying to eat a very naked/clean diet to help the healing along....Try to stay away from the processed gluten-free stuff.. eat healthy...

snack ideas: fruit , pretzels, corn chips, crackers & peanut butter, popcorn, cheese, M&M'S , raisins, applesauce.. jerky, rice cakes..... their is a lot of junk food!!! But they are kids!!!! our kids love yogurt. banana boats with nutella spread on.... dice ham & cheese with crackers or chips....just make sure all is gluten-free.... The kids... -

hello & welcome.... sorry for all your health issues... at t his point it could be anything.. here are a few things to look into: Sibo, ulcers,Gerd, thyroid full panel ( not just TSH), Biospy for celiac please make sure they take at least 4-6 samples....liver function testing... I would also suggest you keep a food journal... -
Have you checked your lipstick? Medications? not necessarily a gluten issue but another ingredient .... Ie: sulphites, soy, sodium lauryl sulfite(sls) , binders ,facial washes or cleaners, many strange additives are put in things we ingest... I would try a basic olive oil or coconut oil on the lips....something very simple ...
